The guitar amp is licenced of overloud, the guys behind th-1. It's far from crap.

edit: the linux download works fine, but from a first look around I can't spot anything new.

I've just extracted the 2.5 standalone to my desktop at work and lit it up. It doesn't look a whole lot different, but hey - if it's a decent maintenance release then that's a start.

still cant control v a simple midi clip from sequencer a to sequencer b :S

almost nothing changed, only that tiny bug what seems to be gone. LOL!

I think you missed his point entirely, had nothing to do with the quality of the amp sim.

Just that the site seemed to suggest that v2.5 was to be a major update, and since Jorgen said two years ago that v2 would eventually encompass most if not all lost functions from v1.4 just in a different form, it was easy to expect at least some of that lost functionality would have made it into this upgrade. Alas, never to be it seems.

That said, some of the new things are nice workflow things to have (Beatslice, autoslice audio & cross fade 2 audio clips; New mixer view with collapsible EQ and Effect sections, graphical view of equalizer and handy "quick add" buttons for adding Insert and Send effects; Sequencer with "quick add" button for creating new tracks with Audio, Drums or Instruments in one click). But it just isn't what we've been hoping for for a long time now. No worries, I've accepted it and moved on, I'm sure others have or will, too.
