All of the kits load. I know because I've been loading them for the past 48 hours. But, if you downloaded today there could have been some errors this afternoon with interruptions. That is solved now if you want to redownload. Sorry about that if this is the case. The problem downloading can also be on anyone's end if there was an error in download. These are large files so it is best to use a good download manager.

Is there any difference (apart from the top-level folder names) between the MIDI files for EZPlayer Pro and the "other" MIDI files? On first look, I can't see anything.

I'm not sure, but I think Toontracks layering is very similar to GM, main changes being on the percussion kit. Also, the velocities may be adapted to Toontracks' instruments.DarkStar wrote:OddGrooves bonus MIDI:

1,062,588,288...witch is exactly the size it is supposed to be...but when I install it, I am still only getting a snare and a tom...where the hell is the rest of this file at ? I mean, I have the FULL FILE...anyone have this problem, this is the only kit not working right and I have the WHOLE file, atleast I think I do, it matches the size on the esounds site...I dont know man..This Gretch kit is killing me, I dont know where it is all going, it takes a good amount of time to install it when I drop the rar file onto the IP installer, but when I load it up in kontakt it takes like a second to load the kit (witch is way to fast)..I just dont know!!
I have all the kits working now on my OSX 10.6.2 system.
the kits I was having problems with were:
NDV Gretsch
NDV Premier Dry
I downloaded a number of the kits several times (because installing them the first time didn't work). They always downloaded the same size.
I always tried using the Infinite Library installer. something was wrong. The size of the *.nkx files was the problem - they were awfully small for a sample file.
Finally I read the post about the installer maybe not working.
So I unzipped the kits to a different location, and copied the constituent parts of the kits that were messed up into the Infinite Player Library location on my system, being careful to match up the instruments with instruments, multi's with multi's and samples with samples.
I also did the same with the Misc kits zip - and I did it after the other two - following what Allen / Squids have been saying about installing that kit last.
I don't think doing all the kits manually would be much fun - and the installer seems to work on most of them. But if you are having problems with no kit pieces showing up, or with random ones missing - check the size of the .nkx files in your Infinite Player library Samples directory vs. the same file out of a freshly unzipped Kit.
and Voila - now everything works.
YA I have thought about that, but man it would be a PITA to do that with every kit...but I will if I have to..Thank you for your info.
PS: I drop the rar files right into the IP installer, someone asked it I was useing winrar..NO, I just drop the files into the IP!!

You misunderstand. The very fact that these files are showing up as RAR files means that you DO have WinRAR on your machine. The files uploaded in your download area are plain old ZIPS. WinRAR automatically converts these to RAR files, and the IP installer was made to install zip files, not RAR files.jarrydee wrote: PS: I drop the rar files right into the IP installer, someone asked it I was useing winrar..NO, I just drop the files into the IP!!
Suit yourself, but I'd uninstall WinRAR temporarily, download the zip AS A ZIP, drop it in your installer AS A ZIP.

I have WinRAR installed too, but it is NOT associated with ZIP files; those files are shown as opening with "Compressed (zipped) folder". [Windows XP SP2]
So maybe, just remove the Compressed folder :: WinRAR association.

Yeah me too, but the only thing I've got it associated with is RAR files. It has a habit of acting screwy with some files, particularly zips, TARs and ISOs.DarkStar wrote:I have WinRAR installed too, but it is NOT associated with ZIP files; those files are shown as opening with "Compressed (zipped) folder". I'm almost sure that's what this guy's problem is, but I don't know of any way to un-associate certain files in WinRAR without a reinstall.

i had the same problem with some files (corrupted size of *.nkx after installation). After removing the "license.html" file from the zips the installation went fine.

I've not done it, but have a look at this: in Windows Explorer: click [Tools] >> Folder Options >> File Types tab, scroll down to ZIP, then click [Change] or [Advanced]algodon wrote:I don't know of any way to un-associate certain files in WinRAR without a reinstall.

My question: has the coupon been distributed yet? I read a post in the other thread that sounded like someone had already redeemed it. I've not been getting emails about this GB despite being signed up for newsletters and receiving them as recently as November. I have already opened a ticket at esoundz but not gotten a response.

I've downloaded this kit three different times now. The download completes (300+ Megs), I drop it into the IP installer (it fully installs) and when I launch Kontakt I get the same "missing samples" error.blueman wrote:The Chicago kit is unable to load the samples. I tried to browse for the .nkx file it wants but it won't accept it. I tried to manually unzip it but no go. I re-downloaded the .zip from esoundz just to make sure. This kit does not load. Does anyone have a solution for it?
R
Has anyone here had issues loading this kit? Perhaps I will post a screen shot later tonight. I know of at least one other person in this group buy having similar issues.
Can someone please confirm or deny if the Chicago kit loads the samples for them?
Everything else sounds GREAT btw!
Thanks!
Rich

I'd like to make sure that I understand:Rubos wrote:i had the same problem with some files (corrupted size of *.nkx after installation). After removing the "license.html" file from the zips the installation went fine.
Sorry for my english...
-- when you first installed a .zip file, the .nkx was the wrong size,
-- you then deleted the license.html files from inside the .zip file,
-- when you installed the kit again it was all OK.
Is that right?
If so, that is weird. Could it be just a coincidence? Did you try a reinstallation without removing the license.html file?
