Bulent did exactly what Adam said he would do, deactivating layers etc.
Demoing the synth in that state made me think "meh", it sounds so so, cause it sounded thin without all the beef.
Actually, the only limitation I put was limiting the polyphony to 5 voices, which was enough for many folks by the way :)

SynthMaster voted #1 in MusicRadar's "Best Synth of 2019" poll
SynthMaster One voted #4 in MusicRadar's "Best Synth of 2019" poll

Hmm, since this is my first synth, I have no idea what people want, so everyone is welcome to suggest me a method that is good for everyone. I do want to offer a fully functional free version (for those who do not wish to/cant support the synth), that lets you save your preset etc (which demos cant/or shouldnt), however, I do need to offer somekind of advantage in the full version.

Hmm... disabled lfo and layer would make it less than fully functional.

IMHO compromising the sound (sound complexity in this case) is not a good free version crippling method.

Just make it limited number of voices or even mono and/or stop working after maybe about 10 minutes (it would require a reload), no saving presets... etc etc.

You know :) Just enough PITA to force a purchase ;)
I agree with this. Don't take away sound shaping functionality. Disable saving and make it go silent after x minutes of use.

Dropouts in sound , no preset saving, annoying "HELLO, BUY ME PLEASE" voice every minute or so ! lol That would work.

As for the GUI, I love the idea of it being battered and used, scratched and fingerprinted :) Shows love and use :)

Provided mine doesnt come covered in white stains i'll be happy :)

Agreed.

I just bought Granite because I was able to make some great sounds but couldn't save them.

If you make it go silent, 30 minutes should be good. I've seen some where they went silent after 10 minutes, and that'd be frustrating for those of us that tweak.

Do NOT add noise or voices urging people to buy it. Those are the bane of audio people, especially for virtual instruments.
Remember the iLokalypse Summer 2013

Samples and presets and free stuff!

yeah sure, all this for the demo version plus the free one with none of this crap

Urs has the oscillators go out of tune after a while.

Please no loud bursts of white noise though. Quiet pink noise is much more pleasant ;)

Yes its going to be the BESTEST :)

I had some real life challenges for the last couple of weeks, so I might have to extend my promise of the release date to february instead.
