I see you found the 404 page my wife put up. She was very proud of herself.

So, yeah, I've thought about it.

At some point, I want to revisit spring reverb models. Before that, I need to finish up VRoom for Windows, and get out some more plugins, including a few non-reverb ones so I don't end up being just a reverb guy. I also need to let my spring reverb ideas percolate for awhile...
That is a tasty proposition coming from you

I have tried every free and demo version of spring vst's I could fine and the one that (iirc was a clear winner) is Type4.

Even a couple "boutique" companies that sell expensive vst's were transparent with minimum controls and just overall bland.

I have no doubt you could make the definitive spring.

It's so weird that you happened to be reading a paper on spring reverbs and one of the authors of that paper just happens to have the same name as you. Strange world we live in.

Jonathan Abel deserves the bulk of credit for that paper. My contribution was probably asking the right question, as opposed to coming up with the answer. Because the answer used, like, math. I'm surprisingly bad at math.

Yet insanely good at making reverb algorithms. Not a bad trade off.

Yeah, to create good reverb algos you need the ability to iterate and reiterate. To iterate and reiterate. To iterate and reiterate. To iterate and reiterate. Without getting bored.

Please Release VRoom for Windows as soon as inhumanly possible. The natives are beyond restless. They're starting to send doc pitches to Michael Moore. They're scraping the net for Hacintosh tips. They're bored.

I got a super loud hellish noise burst last night. :o  It scared the ever loving crap out of me. I wasn't able to reproduce and I'm kinda glad. Still gonna buy it. I just gotta use a limiter.

I was using Logic 9.13 + osx 10.6.6 + valhallaroom 1.01d on a macbook pro 2010. I also had space designer with a 20+ second verb on behind valhallaroom. I think it may have happened while I was switching instrument plugins. I think efm1 to klopfgeist. Maybe going mono made it angry? I have heard of some other Logic users getting noise bursts just because of Logic. This noise seems to be have had a reverb on it and I'm not sure if that's usual. I'm pretty sure it went away when I bypassed valhallaroom. Sorry, details are hard it was a real panic moment for me because I had headphones on and I threw them off as quick as possible, but I could still hear the noise coming out of them. I thought I copied the settings, but I'm not sure now where I saved the text. I think it was either default or large hall.

A minor "bug" I noticed with the tool tips is that they still work when other windows are on top of valhallaroom and have focus. It still knows if you are over for example predelay or mix while changing settings in another plugin.

They're starting to play around far too much with creative text size. If I don't get Windows VRoom out soon, I fear that ASCII art may not be far behind.

I made some progress on the Windows port yesterday. 3 of the 4 reverb modes are working well. I need to figure out the bug with the 4th mode. For some reason, my SIMD code is also throwing me errors, so I need to track down this issue. The same code is used in ValhallaShimmer, and works fine there, so this is a frustrating bug. After that, I need to figure out where the presets go, build an installer, and get the installer in the hands of a few beta testers.
