Spitfire, it's just a copy of the cobalt skin, maybe it seems brighter because there's more letters?

I'm not going to release this one as it's unfair to release a blatant rip of someone else's design, it's just for fun.

And VitaminD, I *might have mentiioned a couple of times about my frustration at not being able to do anything with the fader/slider caps, I'm not sure ;)

What is this 'sexy blue' of which you speak?

Just for fun, only took a couple of minutes to add the blue and change the font. ;)

Let me know about the slider caps peoplez :D

Also I'd like the other (original) knobs in the matrix section, how would I go about doing that?
wooooow i want that :o

It's my first Uhe skin and yeay it's a knockoff but I hope you like it. I can easily make more colors if anyone requests and will try my hand at my own background tomorrow.
Some of the knobs don't look right here. Otherwise, I like the look of it. Did you get permission from the original creator before modifying it and posting it?
You are right, I didn't get permission, my bad. Who do I ask? I'll need to look it up... ok, PM sent, sorry everyone.

I'll look for inconsistencies in the knobs later.

BRW I got permission :D

I am just trying to help you make it better, please do not take it in any other way. Having said that, I see the following issues:
1. The labels at the top VCA, Mode, Voices, Drift are not aligned properly
2. Some problem with the shadows of chorus section knobs. I think the size of the knobs need to be little bigger, the emboss part from the below is visible.
3. There is a white square mark visible just below the Noise knob. I think it's there in the original skin too. People love it so much I was a bit scared to pin-point it.
4. The knob pointers does not align with the lines around the knob (e.g. Noise and Velo knobs). I am not sure if that is important, I spent a lot of time in aligning those in my skin.
5. The fader line (yellow line) also does not align with the lines around the faders (e.g. Sus knob in ENV1/VCA section).

Good luck.

I got this tip from the u-he forum:
3) Enable the built in WYSIWYG editor

To enable the editor do this.

Create a default preset. Open it up in a text editor and add !EDITOR=YES to the end of the parameter list (before the section that says DO NOT TOUCH THIS). Next time you open the plugin it will be in editor mode.
So I'll try that tomorrow and see how it goes :)

What's wrong with you guys? He asked for critique and I said it looks Toyish...in my opinion. Am I supposed to lie? How will that help him develop? If he didn't want feedback....positive and negative he shouldn't have asked.

I've heaped praise on most of the skins in this thread. I just don't happen to like this one. Is that so upsetting to people? I have a feeling he'll take it better than the rest of you.......

That is the SEXY blue that I speak of! :)

Slider caps could be silver like the top of the knobs. Maybe even a dark boarder around them as well.

Love this skin!

I might have missed your posts about not being able to do anything with the fader/slider caps...

besides, braj got shadows working.. look at his design.

Actually mine is just Branis' 1978 theme modified, and I have a feeling his may be a custom version of his 1978 V1 skin, just extended and modded by him, so maybe it isn't following the V2 'rules'. I tried using the WYSIWYG editor and it made the chorus section disappear. I would suggest grabbing his Tyrellhandle.png and renaming it/adjusting it as you need? the shadow is built into that image.

I personally think this is the best so far :-)

Is there a download link?.. Love it.

Based on the original render by Stephan Gries :) combined with the carbon fibre theme of the v2 skin.

Drag to a new window to view full size or right click 'view image'

There all pretty convincing IMO...

You don't find the knobs too bright and distracting? Seems like it would fatigue the eyes.......

Much much better in my opinion.........I would change the teal green text color but that's just personal preference.... :tu:

Eeek... I would kindly ask our logo to "survive" any redesign.

You can download an innocent version of it at the bottom of the press resources:
