Ok, thanks for your replies.
Actually, I'm still hesitating on the upgrade. I'm interested in the sampling features.
- is there a video to see the "Audio Looper layer" in use, please?
- what are the supported sample formats?
- anything else interesting to know/see/listen to about the sample features?
Thanks!

Well, there's a heck load of video tutorials on Wusik Station V8 already.
http://youtube.wusik.com/
The Sample Player handles SFZ, WAV, AIFF, WusikSND and DASHsnd.
Here's a video of the Audio Looper in Wusik 8000, the same code is used in Wusik Station V8. I will make a video to showcase it soon.

That looper video where he played chords with the drumloop made me decide to buy ws8
I was in a group buy a long time ago.
It was version 6 at the time
11/10/11 i got a mail with serial for wusik 7
Maybe it's obvious but i hate doing things like this wrong as it can be a mess to sort out..

Beta 34 uploaded, both Windows and MAC, public and private versions.
Did several fixes, specially some GUI related stuff which should help things out.

I just got a pretty cool tweeked preset out of that "Init 3 OSC" preset that is in there, sounds great so far.
One thing I noticed:
When I drag the end point for the amp envelope's release stage over to the right, it just keeps going. I can drag it way over (though it doesn't actually show that part of the envelope after it is outside the GUI) and the number just keeps increasing.
Shouldn't it stay within the boundaries of that section of the display? I eventually got it to have an enormous release time of 40.000s
EDIT:
Also I noticed when I loaded up a few of the old presets (which do work by the way
) it is having a tough time playing them back. The CPU usage goes way up more than in Wusik 6 and 7. One of those I tried was "Amazonia-Tek"

I`m glad to see you again.
You can zoom in/out, that`s why it does that. Btw: next week I will further optimize the code.

What an amazing patch....whoever did that must be a genius..............Examigan wrote: One of those I tried was "Amazonia-Tek"
But seriously I just tried it here on the test machine and in version 7 it runs at about 20 percent during normal play and in WS8 it kills my system at 100% before I even get a few notes played (beta 34)...........
I know William has said optimizations are coming but five times CPU on the same patch is quite a difference.......
Is it difficult to make a plugin multi-threaded ? I know of at least two plugins I own that do allow multi threading.....and benefit from it a great deal.

Not sure if this helps investigating issues with using the older presets...many presets loaded fine, but I tried loading the 2 different "Chantrix" presets from the same Famous Keys-Tek folder and they both crashed Sonar X3.

Chantrix also crashed FL Studio and Reaper here. Works fine in Version 7.......

The SOUND in this latest version is outstanding! WS8 has become a phenomenal instrument. Thank you, William.

Guys, and don't worry, I will fix things up, just need time, that's all. Some legacy importing may take a while to be completed, but at least we have a start now.
