Not because of the synth itself, it is probably excellent... but because I have never been able to install it (I systematically receive an error message about the pathname whatever the pathname I choose, even a pathname outside "Program files") and Novation support never answered my tickets!
To be honest, you aren't missing much. The B-Station VSTi is pretty weak IMO. V-Station on the other hand, I still like to add that one to a track now and then.

No big miss. :P From a nowadays point of view, it sounds pretty poor. V-station is much better.
Yes, you are both right.

It even looks now as pitiful as a very humdrum freeware, what it should be now honestly. And there are tons of really very good freewares which are even way more interesting that this... hum... thing. I really can't understand why they don't decide to remove it from their catalog and keep only the V-Station.

Incidentally I think that all the sounds produced by the B-Station are doable with the V-Station, in fact, and the V-Station is probably (it looks that way for me at least) a kind of very enhanced B-Station with the same engine behind each of the modules. I haven't taken the time to check if they share the same types of oscillators and the same types of filters, but I assume that it is the case.

But even the V-Station doesn't appeal me when I see now many other plugin synths which for the same price (50 euros) are way better for the same purposes. Even with its three VCOs... but lonely VCF and a pitiful polyphony. I think that even TAL-Noisemaker makes better (and for free).
:D

Novation is of course a top quality brand for its MIDI controllers and keyboards. But for the software plugins in my opinion they have totally missed the market.

They are pretty good it themselves, but the installation procedure is just a pain in the neck, for a FL Studio user.

Seems I am not able to use Codex as 64 bit, because the Waveshell VST2 version will not load into a channel in FL Studio.
Yeah, Element 2's the only VST I've had problems with in FL Studio. I have to load it in the channel rack through the VST3 waveshell (whatever that is), and it's a little unstable. Also, there's something about tweaking the knobs that bugs me. Still use it though because it sounds pretty damn good.

Lush - never clicked with its gui but sound is top notch
Fm8 - gui is terrible and sound not to my taste
Hive - bought it because of supersaw which disappointed me on end
Synthmaster - gui is...well, no comment

VirtualCZ - The desire to keep it faithful to the original hardware is annoying, as many improvements can be made in software.

Synthmaster - Buggy as hell

Virta - This is mostly my fault. Due to the awesomeness of Kaivo and Aalto I bought it without demoing. I mainly bought it for vocoding duties. Unfortunately, it sounds like sh** compared to the offerings of Razor/Lector/Orange Vocoder. Oh well. It was only $89.

Reaktor 5 - I bought it last year or so in anticipation of buying a crossgrade to Komplete 11 Ultimate, before NI decided to remove it's eligibility to upgrade. I would purchase Kontakt now, but I suspect NI will do the same thing with Kontakt for Komplete 12.
Virta? Seriously? It's the best, or rather the only good audio to synth thing available. I was looking for something like this for years. I've tried everything available, also audio to midi stuff, (which mostly had a terrible pitch recognition or extreme latency) and I own The Mouth and VocalSynth, but nothing works as good and produces such diverse sounds as Virta. It's so much more than a mere Vocoder. It's an audio controlled synth.
You may need to add some effects to add a bit of color or depht, but it's incredible how sensible this synth reacts to voice input. You can be very creative with it. One of my favourites.

The Mangle. While I enjoy this one, I switched from Mac to PC, and since the dev is nowhere to be seen, I can't download the PC version now.

+1, but except only one sad thing - it's enormously cpu usage.
