I never heard of this.

I heard of the problem with odd buffer sizes but I have never been able to reproduce it. I throw buffers of 11 samples, 237, 1073 at it, it always plays absolutely fine.

So either it is fixed already (and thus would be in Hive 1.2) or I have never gotten all the information needed to reproduce the issue.

Breach The Sky wrote: Thu Jan 31, 2019 3:11 pm I still suggest making the current green a more blue-green to blue hue. Maybe that will make the transition to the new skin easier for those that like the old skin? Unless it was the space ship theme that made it for them. Alternatively maybe you can add it as an optional skin like the orange skin in the current build.
We are discussing optional skins with different layout and different feel.
I like current color scheme. Very soft and easy to the eyes, while keeping away of the dread black/red combination. I wish DIVA used a similar color scheme. Actually, I even rebuilt all background panels to a similar color (and using knobs and other elements from Divalicious)

Butwug wrote: Thu Jan 31, 2019 12:28 am Plus, isn’t the knob just a visual.
The whole graphical user interface is 'just' a visual so you might just as well refrain from doing anything interesting, right ?? Just like music is just notes in a sequence so who cares what notes you play, right. :dog:
What I quoted was a response to other user post agreeing that cutoff dial should be bigger. I responded by saying size of knob doesnt necessarily make it easier to use or dial in, as how much the filter moves when adjusting, is up to developer.

Also, youre comparing two different things. Thats a false equivelency fallacy, also bordering straw man fallacy. :dog:

Will be there in Hive 2 midi out from arp section?

And what is the central part of the new skin? MSEG of what?

Don't know yet. Drag-sequence-to-MIDI is a long term project which never made it to a top priority spot.

Kind of, just a lot more simple and a bit more animated and playful.

The new WIP section reminds me of ArcSyn. Not a bad thing IMHO. :tu:

In various degrees, but not like a freeform tool. More like Performers and Steppers in certain other synths.

Urs wrote: Wed Jan 30, 2019 3:36 pm I was going to check out options to do something similar to Serum, but I still can't cope with dancing/orbiting parameter visualisation balls. There is an idea for an optional detailed modulation overview on each knob, but I'm not sure how to do that for controls which are not knobs.
Yes! Not quite the Christmas tree approach that Pigments has, but more *useful* visual feedback, maybe more visualisation for amp & env (I don't want to have to rtfm every time I forget the difference between quadric, v-slope etc - those things should be communicated effortlessly with good design).

And the middle section could definitely be lighter - a much lighter grey for better definition and legibility of parameters, text etc.

Otherwise it's looking pretty snazzy! Big improvement over the old skin in every way.
Synthmaster One recently announced that their next update will have some visual feedback for modulation. What they've added looks pretty tasteful and not over the top. Having an option to disable it means it doesn't have to distract people who don't want it.

You can see a preview of the feature in this NAMM video (starts at 35 seconds, time stamp doesn't seem to work)

That looks like the perfect balance to me - A bit like how Alchemy does it but subtler.

I don‘t like the Plugmon skins and I‘m happy with the Hexagon and the colours...
i love their diva skin, but hive doesn't do it for me either, i prefer the original by far.

But that's the problem with odd buffersizes? It's got nothing to do with "high audio rate"?
