When Bam and jancivil champion his cause he feels justified. Jancivil has all but disappeared and BAM has banned me from his Music Society site. Were they defending wags or promoting their own agenda? Does BAM think I need his 32 bit plugins? Is jan just another failed act resentful of the avant garde pushing the envelope? I refuse to be another grumpy senior citizen resentful that the music has left them behind?

If someone has a personality disorder, outside information gets filtered so they continually perceive the same story in many different situations.
Nothing we can do about it except enjoy offering good suggestions.
One comment earlier in this thread resonated with me: you don't have a career like its an object, but you belong to it like you're part of a story. Its a mutual recognition among you and others.
When I worked in studios, we did everything together and were great mates. I left after 300 productions only because I was spending too much of my life in dark rooms. I went to teach creativity at the university, and belonged there.
I think belonging (with >average talent) is primary because we can't do anything worthwhile alone.

At 67 years old I am embarrassed by a 61 year old pushing an agenda to promote an egotist fantasy. He could easily be respected for his talent but would rather promote hyperbole.

Haven't some of you on my ignore list got better things to do? I mean if I'm such a lost cause, why are you even still here? Are you THAT bored? I mean 16 pages is a little much, don't you think?

Anyway, I'll let you get back to your entertainment since it gives you so much pleasure.

Would that be Bam Dorner? the guy who plays an EWI? I have always found him a respectful fellow.

In case it got missed in all this noise, I finished the 11 articles and created my web page. All that's left is for me to do the cover in a genre I'm not comfortable with.

That's of course if you're still interested in working with me after reading this train wreck. Either way, I'm good.

Yeah. That's the fella ... nice to see you're back around Benedict. Any plans to update the Studio Packs to 64 bit?

Against my better judgment, I did just listen to one piece of advice in this thread and removed my foe list. It's become too difficult to follow these threads with half the forum on ignore.

However, if anyone here can't speak with civility to me, I'm not going to respond to verbal abuse. As long as no one crosses a line (I'm sure we all know what that is) we're good.

Having said that, Michael L, I used to play in bands years ago. I practically lived in bars and clubs. I had an agent (Walter Gollander) and did the standard stuff that you were supposed to do. For all my efforts, resulting in countless hours and dollars, I ended up with one song contract that ended up never getting recorded.

My own mother, who was actually successful in the music business, albeit on the classical side, told me that it's a miserable business and not to throw my life away on it.

I probably should have listened to her.

Yeah. But if you expect civility after telling me to go f**k myself (in the quoted thread) you need to apologise.
no. and more importantly, stop listening to her now.
this is why you keep finding excuses.
let go of that shit. excuse the profanity.
