Sounds like one for Rene - contact support, hopefully he can sort out what’s going on here.Iggster wrote: Mon Dec 27, 2021 11:36 am It says ‘Success - Activation was successful’ when I download the key file yet when I try to open Avenger in Reason it says ‘No License Found and to visit vps-avenger.com to activate your license on this computer’.
Ironically it also says ‘further instructions can be found there’ but there are no instructions that I can see.
VPS Avenger new license system is a complete mystery

Probably yes, but it's not that big deal. All paths are saved, all your external expansions are kept in place and native ones are installed for you, so you basically don't have to do that much.Iggster wrote: Mon Dec 27, 2021 8:13 pm (...)
This is an option but surely the upgrade should be easier than having to uninstalling and reinstalling everything!
I've recently bought Melodic Techno 1 expansion and installed it via V-Manager. I've forgotten to download new license file to reflect newly registered product but Avenger plugin asked for it and even allowed license refresh so I didn't need to do absolutely nothing extraordinary to get it running.
Please note that I'm using Ableton on Windows 10 without administrative rights, so you don't need those (at least for Ableton Live).

You can find it with V-Manager or in the Avenger plugin itself by looking at the bottom of the SYS tab.

Well I found the problem in the end.
The latest version hasn’t installed properly and V-Man displayed NA/1.8.2 showing what was installed/what was authorised so just had to reinstall.
Thanks for everyone’s help.

There is indeed a fee. if you contact support@keilwerth-audio.com they will send you all the Info you'll need.Optimus1 wrote: Sat Jan 15, 2022 6:08 pm Does anyone know: I have seen ads selling VPS Avenger second hand and they talking about a "a fee for activation license" - how does that work ? Who pays who ?
So who pays who ? Its up to the Seller / Buyer who is paying the Transfer Fee.
After the Fee is payed, the "old" owner has to contact support@keilwerth-audio.com and attach the invoice from the License Transfer Fee and tell the Support his account email or Avenger Code so the Support can prepair the Transfer.
After all this, they will create new Codes and send them to the "old" Owner. He/She can then forward the Codes to the new Owner.

I don't mind that at all, but it's annoying having to run a program AS WELL AS the DAW or whatever, I always used to forget to run splice when I opened serum. Real boner killer when you are on a roll making something.
Anything but the bloody dongle is good by me, Cubase is losing the dongle, I hope Vengeance move all the plugins to the new system too, then I can finally dump the dongle.
Hello LeVzi,
I bought Avenger a couple of days ago, tell me, do you know if I can open it from the DAW without internet or do I always have to be 'online'. I ask this because if I am not 'online' how do I activate it? Is the key somewhere on my computer? I don't understand that process, if you know, let me know, thanks man.

install their activater thing, click 'download keyfile' or whatever it says, it's activated. Don't need to be connected to use the plugin, but every 90 days need to re-activate the license i think.

As far as I am aware with the new system, much like the old one, you only need to be online once for a period of time to keep the license active.Chipi wrote: Thu May 26, 2022 5:27 amLeVzi wrote: Thu Jul 01, 2021 3:02 pm The codemeter program doesn't need to be running, because the service is running, similar to ilok cloud. I don't know the current period, but it used to be 90 days.

You can use it offline. You only need to re-activate it once in 3 months, and for that you have to be online.Chipi wrote: Thu May 26, 2022 5:27 am I bought Avenger a couple of days ago, tell me, do you know if I can open it from the DAW without internet or do I always have to be 'online'. My studio is mostly offline, have no problem using Avenger. Had to reactivate it a couple of weeks ago. Went online for 30 seconds, activated, done, back offline.

Thanks for the info guys, it puts my mind at ease now. What I don't quite understand is why every 3 months? Couldn't it be per year? It's weird...
and if their server stops working, let's say they discontinue the synthesizer, how will I continue using it?
I also have Omnisphere but with Spectrasonics I feel that the money invested is mine, I mean, I have paid for a synth that I will be able to use in 10 years, but with Avenger I am in doubt, but maybe it's just my head...thanks so much for the info!
