Not true. New users would pay $/€100 more than the listed AmpliTube 5 MAX upgrade/crossgrade pricing for example. Please see the news for the information and it states the prices listed are upgrade/crossgrade and new users definitely show $/€100 more when on our site (just verified this yet again, since I thought there must be an error for people to miss/misunderstand this repeatedly but alas, it is there).

Um, no. I logged out of the site and the prices did not change. The price for new users is the same as for old users, so there is no upgrade as far as I can see - just outright buying a new product.

I see $100, $150 and $300 whether logged in or not. Could you explain where I should see the $100 difference?

SLiC wrote: Thu Oct 29, 2020 7:22 pm Was there a lower cost upgrade from Total Studio to Total Studio 2?
I think in the past it was $99.

I think, based on all the strange pussy footing around by IKM from clearly answering the question asked on many forums , it would be best that, if you already own AT 4 and a bunch of the collections, just install and upgrade to CS and see if it updates everything.

IKM are not answering the questions asked straightforward. He keeps urging and directly people to "upgrade to AT 5 if you want access to all the collections because its a great deal". He is purposely evading answering the question. Its very concerning that a company bullshits existing costumers who are familiar with their products.
Not purposely evading anything. Sorry if my answers have confused you. Please let me know what I can answer for you or what's not laid out on the AmpliTube 5 page (which has a lot of information about exactly what is in each version and should answer nearly all the questions I've seen). Sorry to be frank but I think you're being a little overdramatic here. And you're paraphrasing to emphasize that drama. I spell out a lot, so does the site. Again, sorry if anything I've posted confuses you.

LOL did you not see the screenshot? The price for new users for AmpliTube 5 MAX is $399.99. It's right there. Maybe you were blocking images or something?

OK, I was slightly mislead by the pricing as I didn't see the tiny "starting from" text above the big price - which looks to the casual observer like that's the price everyone is going to pay. I'm talking about the main page here. I just think it's worded badly that's all. Most vendors would probably say "Price: $400, Upgrades $300" on the main page - you know, make it clear and stuff for us dummies. The ones with the money.

Not according to the first day results. Thanks for the interest and for the pre-orders for those who have asked questions, made suggestions, and those who have pre-ordered.

I will have more information about CS limitations coming, I apologize that it is taking longer than I had thought to make sure everything is accurate when I present that to you all.

Thanks for your patience.

Your existing gear will work in any version. 5 SE or 5 or MAX will have full features. CS will have limited features. They can choose from SE, 5, or MAX depending on what additional gear they want - if none, SE is the option because it is the most economical version with full features
Thanks Peter.

paulmatthew wrote: Fri Oct 30, 2020 7:31 pm BEWARE** The CS version will NOT unlock previously purchased gear. You will have to get Amplitube 5 SE at the very least.
AmpliTube 5 CS will load your previously purchased models (of course and thankfully). It just won't give you access to the new features or upgraded cabinets with VIR™ technology, so sonically it won't be the same upgrade as with SE or higher.

Was clear for the [redacted] who pre-ordered. I know what you were getting at. I was countering the hivemind with results that included data outside of the hive, sorry if that wasn't clear.

Perfectly fair point. The Custom Shop is definitely revamped, I'll see what additional information/peeks we can get toward release day.

Peter, what about people who just bought AmpliTube 4 MAX?
Will they get a free update to AmpliTube 5 MAX if they purchased recently within a certain amount of time?

I think you just subtly called me (and a few others that didn't get it) thick! :D
