more or less my assessment as well. it sounds good and different than other things. it really does sound like a software blofeld but with a bit extra in there.kraster wrote: Mon Oct 30, 2023 11:58 pm I also think it sounds great.
Unashamedly digital. Bright and clear with very little harshness. Filters sound great.
It manages to avoid that fizzy white noise character you get when you get a lot of high end information hitting the filters.
It's also really easy to layer up. A few tweaks to each layer and it sounds massive.
Very easy on the CPU too.
The UI might look like a butchers block but it's easy to get around and most things are where you'd expect them to be.
Despite the bugs you can really hear the pedigree in the sound.

Oh yes! In Windows/Bitwig/VST3! So I don't understand how the (+1) in Windows happened!chk071 wrote: Mon Oct 30, 2023 8:01 pm Can anyone confirm this?
1. Set patch to init.
2. Activate the arp.
3. Double click the value field for the Octave Range.
4. Type in 1.
The octave range is set to 2. Type in 2, the octave range is set to 3. Etc.
I don't have a list! My foes are my friends most of the times!
Or I just use less agreesive wavetablesAnd I totally agree that Vital has a harsh sound to it, which was also often discussed in here. Trying to get rid of it using a De-esser can work a little bit in smoothing it out again. Then listening to the Delta-signal to hear whats actually happening there is quite mind boggling though.

Largo has the smoothest digital filters I’ve ever heard. They’re cool, but not harsh.
Using: Cubase Pro 15, Reason 13, Tascam US-4x4HR, MODX6, DM12D, LaunchKey 49, Yamaha guitar(Pacifica 612v) and bass (BB234) and some virtual instruments and synths.

Have they actually added any new presets? I’ve been steadily converting them to NKS and so far as far as I can see they are still using the same factory banks as Largo v1

No, as far as I can tell. I sent them an email offering to include some presets for v2 out of my 800 I've created, and I'd happily do it for free since I love the synth. Still waiting for their reply.aMUSEd wrote: Tue Oct 31, 2023 10:52 am Have they actually added any new presets? I too happen to love the sound of Largo.
It's one of the first synths I made a bank for commercially, both it and Diversion have a very pristine sound that can yield amazingly creative results almost effortlessly.

I wanted to, but, then I saw that I can save 3 € when I order at JRRShop. Yes, I'm cheap.

Yep, and I'm still waiting on a email to set my password on a newly created account that I can't access (even after multiple password reset requests).

I have v1. Always sounded amazing. And I'm sure v2 does too. But I have no idea why they went for this plain milk and cherry GUI style. I used to love those silvery 3D rendered graphics in v1. Fits them better if you look at their hardware style, such as the blofeld etc...
