Got it, thanks. Really nice job on the patches!

I decided to get The Eighty over Softubes Model 77 because of all the additional features and decent sound. Today Softube is offering me Model 77 for $39. I might go for it simply because it does sound very good and includes Modular modules. GAS!

Have just got this got this and installed iMac OS12.7.6, Logic Pro V10.7.9. Korg Keystage.
I am getting no response from my keyboard. Keyboard on Plugin GUI works fine. Logic shows my keyboard inputs are being received, but they're not getting to The Eighty. All of my other plugins are receiving from the keyboard OK.
Can't find any setting on the GUI for The Eighty that would affect this.
Anyone have any ideas?
SOLVED!!
I had Midi 2.0 selected in Logics settings. My keyboard supports it and it doesn't appear to affect other plugins, but apparently The Eighty doesn't like Midi 2.0.

It looks like a new version is up, 1.0.2 BETA 2025-03-22. Do you know the changelog?

Just updated, it's a 3 band resonator, sounds really good, ideal modulation target.

Question, when I select the routing to the resonator, it sounds completely different if I choose From Main Out vs From EQ for example, even when the EQ and all other effects are turned off. Does anyone know why that is? I would have expected no difference there.

Hmmm not sure. Is that an init preset you started with? I will check it out later today.

Yes, from the Factory - Init One Line preset. I just turned on the Resonator, switched it to BP, and then toggled between From Main Out and From EQ, very different results. Cool, thanks for looking into it.

It seems to work fine when you chain the effects together.
It is a bit strange that the sound is different. All the other effects (like you mentioned) are disabled and you use Main Out, and then you switch it to "From..." this or that, I would think it should sound the same.

I reported it, just in case you didn't do that yet. 8)

It seems (waiting for Xavier on this) it may just be since if all the other effects are disabled, using (e.g.) From EQ or From Reverb wouldn't output anything since they are disabled. You'd have to use Main Out, since those others have no output if they are disabled.

For instance, if you select "From EQ", and then turn the Resonator on and off while playing notes, there's no difference, since the EQ has no output. You'd have to use Main Out to get the signal in there, since all others are disabled.

Hopefully this clears it up. I think it is basically what I mentioned. I sort of quoted him here:

If the Resonator is from the Main and the EQ is from the Main too, all the other effects are OFF, then there are two audio paths: Main->Resonator->Out and Main->EQ->Out. Even if the EQ is switched off (which is different than the EQ not routed at all).

Honestly, it's still not super clear, but I appreciate your efforts to explain it. It sounds like you're saying there are parallel signal paths through the effects section, but the "From" semantics implies a serial signal path. Also, the effects section of the manual has no information about how the signal path changes: https://www.xils-lab.com/download_files ... manual.pdf

What would really clear things up would be a block diagram of the full signal path, including how it might change based on the selected routing in the effects section.

I forgot to mention he said he may add something like that.
