i tried with my virus and while the deumping i only got pops and clicks. and another thing that's not working is the input routing, windows had to do the routing for the input stream and i had to activate it first. in cubase it routes automaticaly..CCT wrote:Anyone tested external device recording ?

Try to set larger latency e.g 200ms. It should work - probably there is a problem with disk buffering.

Hello,
Finally had a chance to try external hardware sampling.
After making my settings and hitting dump, I hear the lowest note being triggered and then nothing else happens. Vst sampling seems to work ok, though.
I'm using an echo mia wdm asio drivers, midisport 2x2, plugged into a Kurz 2500 rack.
Also, after exiting the program, I can not reenter without rebooting the machine. I get a popup that states vd04pe.exe has encountered a problem and need to close. This happens with the Echo as well as the ASIO4all drivers.
Regards and Happy New Year,

Hello
Hmm it seems to be a problem with note off message
Yamaha V50 handled that correctly, but i heard about
problems with some roland instrument... Currently i have no hardware to make tests
Greetz
edit:
ok probably i know where the problem is
Update soon.

Was that be due to a Note Off message sometimes taking the form of a Note On with Velocity = 0 for particular keyboard manufacturers?CCT wrote:ok probably i know where the problem is

Last version sends note on with 0 velocity and normal note off, but i discovered that note off should have 127 velocity and current version sends 0... when i put new release 127 will be sended. Maybe it will work ;] if not i will read more docs

Hello
http://audiolabz.com/vd04ph.rar
New version has some asio bug fixes, and channels selector.
Also note off message for midi ou was changed - can anyone test it ?

OK, just tried the last version briefly:
- Experienced some weird audio driver behaviour. Sometimes ASIO would work, sometimes ASIO Multimedia, sometimes none of them.
- Wave export doesn't seem to work at all. It starts creating a file which is growing endlessly - need to shut VSTi dumper down. Same settings but exporting to SF2 don't resolve in such things.
- Would be nice if there was a setting for a standard VSTplugin directory. The same goes for a standard directory for dumped files.
OK, will now test autolooping and later on I will try to sample my SY85 (I don't even remember anymore how to select patches
