Soma_CC_morph coming up.
?
i really didnt think it was possible to invent a preset morphing kinda plugin?
i know its possible to blend presets within the preset generator in eXT, but well..this? im :hyper:
makes it a little more effective when only using 1 synth, to just morph between presets. if i havent got it all wrong now?

Seff, Don't get your hope too high  I haven't come that far yet... But what this will do is let you pan accross several "settings" for a CC. You can add a one Morpher to morph the the morph.

Anyway here is the plugin (beta) and an example .ext

(press play on the seq)

NOTE:
Don't get too attached to these guys yet... I'm going to be making some updates and setteling into a new home on Aseeca's site. Then everything will remain semi-permanent. (Of course if you're already using the plugs hold on to the version you have now too). SO, if you have any suggestions like the midi learn is crap, or why did you map CC's already, etc. Let me know this ASAP.

BTW I've been pushing the forum hard for an FR to automate the preset blender and the two presets it uses!!! Something like an automateable metasurface in Audio mulch would be a dream come true!

I've wanted this since I first saw the preset generator!

I was toying with a home-brewed SE plug that morphs between two sets of CC data. One CC# is automatically mapped to 16 different CC#'s with two values... one for preset A & one for preset B. You can store up to 16 sets of data that can be loaded into either side. The plug did work, but it is tremendously time consuming to set up for even a simple synth like Tau2. You have to CC map each parameter of your VST, then you have to manually program the SE plug with the CC# & A & B values for each of those parameters. bleh!!!

It could be used to program your VST by using the un-morphed settings in either preset A or B. For synths requiring more than 16 parameters, you would need to use more than one instance of this plug. All you have to do is create an EXT preset that included this plug & the VST already CC mapped.

I was planning on creating a version that allowed you to map 128 parameters & more than 16 parameter sets. Unfortunately, I don't know exactly where the project or plug are at the moment. I created it on one of my work computers and I saved it to CD before I quite my job, but I never got around to loading it on my home pc. I'll let you all know if I ever find it!

The morpher is updated already... Added an offset that complements the amp very well.

Ok now one to add a little Chaos to your life...
Soma_CC_Jitter... Shake rattle and roll MF!

Use this plug to send a little chaos to a CC.
Amp controls the amount. Speed controls the rate of change. Smooth well... It smooths the changes.

Been drinking my coffe hope you all can keep up.
Here is a .ext that will randomly fade presets (more or less). It uses the scanner in to crossfade between 12 synth1's that all have different prests and it uses a Jitter to control the fade.

Don't laugh at the composition...

Soma_CC_Jitter & Soma_CC_Morph_beta

the jitter one is like made for me personally. :D

Nice. :)

One minor issue I am having with some of your plugs Soma is that the text and controlls on the right hand side of are overlapping and unreadable. Particularly the Learn and Reset on the ScannerDX. Not a big deal but it would sweet if you could give them a bit more room. Now off to play!!

looks good enough here tho.

Yeah I'm not a huge fan of the GUI's really (as you can tell I put more thought into the use than the looks). I'll see if I can con some of the better skin makers out there to prettying them up for the big 2.0 release and move to Asseca's.

As a warning prepare for lots of changes to all the plugs before then. These will be parameter ranges might change, I might add parameters that might stop songs written with old version from working, links might move, etc.

When I think I've got a good core of plugs done (with all of your help), I'll finalize them all to 2.0 and make some big hoopla. You can use them without fear of breaking your songs then. (also means that if you are using anything in a song now just keep it as 2.0 will not overwrite it.)

Steffensen and Soma, I wasn't saying that I didn't like the way the guis looked just that the Learn and Reset seems to be in the wrong position on my system. Maybe it is just on my system. Can't say I understand why the gui would be different for me than for you though...

Anyway, love the plugs :hail: and look forward to future versions. :D

i like your gui's too. :) (fwiw)

Guys, You might want to wait on downloading or using the Jitter plug. I've almost finished adding a way to trigger the random only on a NoteOn in specific range of notes.

This means that for example, you could have a track with 8 drums on it and send a relatively random value to a insert filter on the snare, only when the snare is triggered.

I wanted to get it up earlier but fun things to do in the real world keep poping up :)

Added note-on gating option to the jitter.

Use this plug to send a little chaos to a CC.
Amp controls the amount. Speed controls the rate of change. Smooth well... It smooths the changes (Smooth is linked to speed).
The Gate control will use midi note on messagees to trigger a random value. There are also vel to amp and vel to smooth controls.
