Right.
Multi coloured hawaii shorts and viking helmet recommended for best effect. :tu:

I'll try a shim,
then if it works I'll get a sander(a friend borrowed mine 7 years ago hehe).
It needs like 1/3 mm I think, so delicate work to keep it so the overhang doesn't hit the pickguard. Maybe I can hand sand it w/- block.
Jimi could play that guitar in style though surely!
I was thinking more sequins and rhinestones sorta thing 8D
I wonder what I want in here
-my site is gone and music a mess

All my hawaii shorts have rhinestones. 8)
There is no limit to bad taste ... :hihi:

Re neck sanding :
If you are experienced with precision woodworking this certainly sounds like a plan. :tu:
Good luck,

The Behringer BSY600 is a good cheap way to get those Boss synth pedal tones:

You just have to remember to mute I thought.
Do you mean mute the strings, or the amp?.

Post

Strings coz it turns to mud easily.
You can play nice chords on the 2 high strings on a 6-string though usually.
I guess a pertinent point is I started both bass and electric at the same time too.

Thanks a bundle Eric,
seems as good as the SYB-5.
Maybe I get one eh
I think you'd have to have some huge faux gold chains with that get-up Susi!

Its strange I can not get into a groove with a real Bass Guitar and amp, but find it quite easy to improvise/write bass lines to my tunes using a keyboard and bass sample.

No plans (read: money) to get one atm, unfortunately.

That is a very cool looking guitar, what is it? Its similar to a Gibson Barney Kessel.

hmm,
I think bass is just as difficult as any instrument,
and surely it is important to hit a groove.
Can I suggest writing a drum track to play to?
Also you can use a non-complicated line, then make variations, as you get comfy.
I am not really a bassist, but would like to get better at it too.
hmm, maybe to start, if you r keen, you pluck the rhythm on just one note to the drums, and feel your way into some melody.
|dum dadumm |da duumm dah| hehe
It's surely hard on fingers though, I think I have a blister brewing from playing with that pedal(picking hand).

Johnny A Signature model

Contrary to what the website says it's available in several variants and colours, Bigsby option etc.
All share the unique construction, carved out of solid wood, unlike most other semis. :tu:

Which sounds like you talking yourself into one my friend. Same as the DGT...Time is the only factor ;)

Not at that price point, no.
The DGT was more like half of that ...
A friend of mine owns a CS 356, incredible guitar with similar construction but less eye candy.
Even worse, he can play that Johnny A shit convincingly ... :hail:
Friends are not what they used to be.

The Blonde in your pic looks hot.

It looks very similar to a Barney Kessel but with more snazzy F-holes.
