IK Multimedia Xpansion Tank 2 Group Buy

It can't be possible...but...just in case anyone is lurking out there and you're not sure about the quality of the Xpansion Tank 2 sounds, I can tell you that there are some beautiful sounds to be found mixed into these sets. I'm really finicky about the sounds I use on my recordings and I will definitely be using quite a few of the sounds that I've gotten in this group buy, and even some of the loops too. Everyone should be taking advantage of this amazing deal while the folks at IK Multimedia are still taking leave of their senses (just kidding, of course). This has been one of the most exciting GB's that I've ever followed, which is why I finally added my couple of cents in.

The T-Racks groupbuy was great. I use those plugins quite a lot. Especially the Linear EQ. And the Xpansion groupbuy is interesting. It makes me wonder...
Ways to sell your old(fashion) sound libraries:
Sell many-libraries-in-one-multipurpose-library:
- VI-One with Big Fish Audio stuff (20 GB)
- Goliath with EastWest stuff (50 GB)
- Miroslav Sampletank with Miroslav stuff (8 GB)
Sell the libraries online as downloads:
- Best Service and their website soundsondemand with occasional free downloads
- Zero-G and their website with every week a sale/discount
- Sonicreality and their esoundz website with... Groupbuys
The first option makes the consumer think: So much stuff for so little. I don't ever need to buy a sound library again.
I have to say that the groupbuy way to sell old sound libraries is the most interesting. The way Sonic Reality and Ik Multimedia do it is by getting the buyer involved in the marketing. The buyer has to spread the word to reach a certain level of sales. The buyer will then be rewarded with more stuff. Someone of Sonic Reality constantly says he will pull some strings and make the groupbuy bigger. This motivates to reach the goal even faster.
It's all marketing. And it's all stuff. The No-Brainer was also a great marketing-trick. But I like how Sonic Reality and Ik Multimedia get their customers involved...

Hmm, All gone quiet for over an hour ?

And, yes, the T-Racks level (5,080) has been overtaken.

Anyway - you wanna see a surge? The second graph shows the sign-ups each day:Peter - IK Multimedia wrote:As Squids said - GREAT job! Tired from the sprint? Dang, because you should probably start running for 8x1 at 6,000 and the pace will still need to be fast but you will have until 6/6 to do it. Enjoy!
Nice deals, Squids - with deals like these, are you trying to help keep people inside making music ALL summer or something?

And, yes, the T-Racks level (5,080) has been overtaken.

The best kind of marketing is the kind where everyone (on both sides of the deal) ends up feeling like a winnerkiezum wrote:It's all marketing. And it's all stuff. The No-Brainer was also a great marketing-trick. But I like how Sonic Reality and Ik Multimedia get their customers involved...
As a cusomer in this group buy, I surely do feel like that. The value for money is just excellent, I ended up with way more inspiring sounds than I dared to hope for (I don't mean generally, I mean personally going through the libraries and bumping into something that just makes you go "ah!"), and the rest of the whole customer experience has been positive as well.
