i think you got somebody else's studio photo (like from Photobucket) and put a black box over it in Paint so noone could tell it wasn't you

i symphathise with m4m actually.

i live in a town (but it's really a village) where everybody knows everybody else's business. or seems too. i hate that.

10 years ago, my house, in another town..city...Liverpool...was cleaned out. i mean everything was taken. i walked miles and miles and miles over the following days, either going over pawn shops, "putting out feelers" in the dodgier local pubs, or pacing up and down the alley behind my house, and the surrounding streets, at night, with a steel bar tucked up my sleeve, hoping they'd come back. they took my birth certificate too. i wouldn't give a shit about that, except it's a piece of paper from the day, soon after i was born, my parents went to the registry office, and committed me to record, so to speak. they stole the piece of paper my parents took home that day.

if i took a picture of my shed and posted it, it would be immediately recognisable as a room full of nickable gear, and, being within feet of a local landmark, it's location is obvious. i've already had all my stuff stolen several times over. i don't want to advertise what i've got and where it is.

That's f**king horrible, man. My sympathies. I got robbed once, but oddly enough, I had finally listened to my dad and gotten insurance.

a look at one side of the room..from the left Yamaha AN1X, Juno 106 MicrowaveXT,Furman reverb unit, ESQ1, ancient Audio Centron mixer..The Micro mod is just out of sight. The other side of the room just has my tired old DX7 and guitars.
