Aiming for next Wednesday now (Dec 30th), but today I encountered a patch which always crashes when playing a note, so I need to investigate this first.sugo wrote:glad to hear this. cant wait. but take all time you needSampleconstruct wrote:Thank's for these fixes and the oscillator duplication (that was my no. 1 feature request), now I can release my library very soon...Dunc wrote:Details on Falcon 1.04 update

Does it make a cool sound when it poofs?Sampleconstruct wrote: I encountered a patch which always crashes when playing a note, so I need to investigate this first.
If you have to ask, you can't afford the answer

No, unfortunately it just crashes silently, very unspectacular.SJ_Digriz wrote:Does it make a cool sound when it poofs?Sampleconstruct wrote: I encountered a patch which always crashes when playing a note, so I need to investigate this first.

you should not use the preset folder but a dedicated one. Don't remenber the exact name(at my folks place for xmas) but this is detailled in version 1.0.1 or 1.0.2 changelogDocAtlas wrote:
We're getting closer. Putting the Architecture folder in that location works as far as seeing the sub-folders, but the wavetables aren't showing unless I change their extensions to .preset. However, when I do that, they still don't load. If I drag each wavetable into the oscillator one at a time and then save each as a preset, they do work just fine. I think for now I'll just use Simon's suggestion and put the Architecture folder in Places. As I use each wavetable, I'll save it as a preset.
I'd like to thank everyone for all their help with this, and I hope you all have a good holiday (whatever you may, or may not, be celebrating).

Can a Layer set on Mono Retrig Play Mode have multiple Keygroups that both span the whole key range? It doesn't seem so, as whenever I switch the Layer to Mono Regtrig only one of the Keygroups will produce any sound. I'd like to stack multiple
oscillator types and put them each through different filters within the same layer, but it doesn't seem like this is possible?
Thanks!

Mono is only one voice, so you need to use multiple layer all set with mono retrigger.

I don't know if this is already covered earlier (too many pages to scroll through), but it seems to me that many MachFive wavetables are missing in Falcon. Analog Classics, Digital DW, Analog CS Legacy, Digital CZ, German mQ.. I really liked and used a lot of these. Am I missing something or have they been dropped? I can see some of them are in there, but only a few and they are sorted differently now.

Thanks Olivier! This works a treat. Looks like some of my "Favorites" are going to move to that folder, and be remapped.otristan wrote:Found it

On a another note... Am still finding my way around with Falcon, even after a couple of weeks. I picked up the Groove 3 training mentioned above for $25. The lessons / training is loaded with nuggets that have really changed the way I approach using Falcon now. Every lesson had a forehead slapper in it for me. Highly recommend, for anyone looking to get further up to speed on using Falcon who may not spend a lot of time in the manuals.

Ok, I must be doing something wrong. I got as far as the documents/UVI/Falcon folder, but there's no User Data folder in it, only User Presets and UVI Script. Or are we supposed to create these folders ourselves?jdoo wrote:Thanks Olivier! This works a treat. I had to create the User Data folder (User Presets and UVIScript were already there). Below User Data... i created "IR", "Pluck" and "Wavetable" folders. In the Wavetable folder - I dropped Some other folders which had .wav files into them.DocAtlas wrote: Ok, I must be doing something wrong. Thanks, that did it! It's nice to see the images of the wavetables. Now I just need to finish adding '_2048' to the rest of the Architecture tables. Although if I don't, the oscillator reads the whole table as one rather strange wav. I may have to put both versions in there. And perhaps the single-cycle Architecture waveforms. I'm going to have fun tonight.jdoo wrote:I had to create the User Data folder (User Presets and UVIScript were already there). Below User Data... i created "IR", "Pluck" and "Wavetable" folders. Is there no "panic button" in Falcon? By that I mean a reset all notes command.
I came across a situation: on the performance tab, hold a note down, change either the octave or semitone offset and release the note. The sound continues, even if you restore the original octave or semitone setting and replay the same note. Fortunately I was in Cubase when this happened and had the MIDI Reset command available courtesy of the DAW.
