I can re-voice or add an alias to the chords in the chord window or Chords.rcCHRD but is there a way to re-voice the guitar chords ?

Hi,
I am using a lot the key shortcut 'arrow up/down' to change phrase's inversion. But I often have to press several times the arrow (up or down) to get a change in the inversion. Is it possible that RC get the next inversion right after pressing one time the up/down arrow ?
Or maybe am I messing something ?
Thanks and ... RC is GREAT !!

Yes, indeed! Thanks for reporting this.drtassos wrote:In bass generator using bass note+fifth I get bass note+octave
This happened due to a recent change, when note offsets were mixed up. 7 semitones became 7 scale steps...
This is fixed, I expect the next beta version tomorrow (Monday).
Thanks,
Attila

I'll think about a solution, but the arrows increase or decrease the transposition by one semitone. This is why you don't see the phrase inverted after each press. This must work consistently when a chord-relative and an 'absolute' phrase is selected at the same time. Maybe it would be confusing if pressing the arrow keys would work differently for different type of phrases. I am not sure about this.Gotacki wrote:Hi,

Not at the moment. The guitar chords are looked up from a database of chords, which cannot be edited now. The database used to be a text file, however that was slow to parse when loading it, so now it is a binary file. I have plans for a long time to make that editable.crossovercable wrote:I can re-voice or add an alias to the chords in the chord window or Chords.rcCHRD but is there a way to re-voice the guitar chords ?

This was an annoying bug, thanks, BluGenes for reporting it!
The fix will be included in the new beta version, to be uploaded later today.
Thanks,
Attila

drop any generator on a composition, then drop a second phrase on the composition. The first composition loses focus and the new phrase has the selection and appears to be focused, but, if you hit the delete key, the first phrase gets deleted.

Some issues were fixed in the last days and there are improvements too!

Hello Attila!
Thanks for the new beta!
Talk about the percussion generator.
I very highly appreciated the ability to convert percussion phrases into a percussion generator !!!
(this is the first look at innovation)
I want to note that, unfortunately, the cancellation of the muting continues when the rhythm of neighboring instruments changes.
Now (it seems to me) you can not select the first instrument for removal (or any, except for the lower one), but only the last one (from below). It would be nice to swap tools (1 to 3, 5 to 1, etc.) by simple dragging.
Thanks.

Maybe it would be possible to have the transposition set for the smallest interval of the selection ? (I don't know if I am really clear
Let's say that it woulds depend on type of notes in the phrase :
- absolute : one semitone
- scale note : the next scale note
- chord note : the next chord note
If a phrase has multiple type of notes (scale and chord for example), it should transpose with the smallest interval.
The goal is (IMHO) to have a visual change when pressing the arrow up and down. If one have to press four time a key to see an effect, it seems to me that it deserve the workflow...
Thanks !

There maybe a Guitar Strummer I have missed but if not could you have a guitar rhythms generator for Acoustic Guitar Chord Voicing so you can create up/down strums by offsetting the notes so on a down strum it will play the 6th first followed by the 5th string then the 4th and so on, same with the up strum play the 1st string first followed by the 2nd string and so on, have an adjustment so a slow strum can be played like for an ending, and also a root strum that will just pick the 6th or the 5th string. Maybe it could add to the pattern an absolute locked keyswitch note of your choice for your Virtual Instrument's mute ks or if your Virtual Instrument mute is velocity triggered velocity adjust.
It's great you can lock the notes now as I can just drag some bass patterns in, adjust and change them to absolute locked notes then drag them under any phrase as keyswitches.
There is bug that if you fill the track with Fingerpicking generator, add an absolute note to the track (not the phrase) as a keyswitch then change to Note Editing Mode adjust the keyswitch then go back to Phrases Editing all the fingerpicking patterns say Edited then won't and won't let you change the variations.
and, I have a track with figerpicking, but I still can't get the transpose chord/scale to work right, I select all the chords on the track then transpose +1 st it will change all the other chords and scales on the track but not the first scale or chord.
