Sorry, but, selling keys you don't have is the weird thing here. It's also quite bold to call Patrick "elusive", because they allegedly can't reach him via phone. I'm sure this is not the first time they had to make contact, so, this is really just shifting the blame on others. I wouldn't sell goods I don't have, or that I can't deliver.

What also confuses me: I thought this was an Audio Deluxe exclusive deal? Why are other resellers mentioned now? And, where are those resellers which removed TAL from their store entirely? I only see that with Audio Deluxe.

Plugin Boutique still has them: https://www.pluginboutique.com/manufacturers/52 JRRShop still has them: https://www.jrrshop.com/computer-softwa ... cturer=477
I understand it like that:

- TAL made a deal with Audiodeluxe to sell it for 8/11$
- TAL didn't inform distributor of the deal (meaning they didn't now there was a big sale coming which required possibly 10k+ serials)
- distributor has only a limited amount of serials in stock. (TAL needs to generate new ones when they run out, this is not an automated process)
- other resellers get the serials from the same stock
- AD requested all serials from that stock, meaning all other reseller can't get new serials until TAL generates new ones and sends these to the distributor
My understanding is slightly different:

- TAL made a deal with Audiodeluxe to sell it for 8/11$
==> TAL uses Audiodeluxe as distributor and point of contacts to other reseller. They make a deal to sell it at 11$.
- TAL didn't inform distributor of the deal
==> If Audiodeluxe is distributor, it is 100% its responsibility to inform vendors and to make sure they have enough keys...
- distributor has only a limited amount of serials in stock. (TAL needs to generate new ones when they run out, this is not an automated process)
==> Audiodeluxe, the distributor didn't foresee the success and didn't ask for the right amount of serial numbers...

You forgot to add the "FREE IK Multimedia T-RackS Tape Machine 80" promotion which I could not delete from my order.

Post

It seems that TAL J-8 and Drum are no longer dirty cheap on Audio Deluxe.

was it the "OMG" part?

Post

does this mean if Tal-Drum is bought from JRR you won't get an immediate email serial as they are all used for now? I've not a clue how it works with serial numbers for software.

Post

Was going to buy Tal-Drum now but wanted it today really..

Post

That’s likely the case. Unfortunately, there’s no way to check until you order (the distributor does not show stock levels).

Post

I ordered anyway thanks.. can wait!

according to the mail we got, you both have it wrong,
You point towards "TAL" as beeing the wrong one here.
At least thats how i understand it, respectivly how i take your posts.

This was the repost of that mail:

Hi,
Apologies for the delay in processing your TAL Software license.

We are waiting on the US Distributor to provide more licenses and have been told they are waiting on TAL Software.

We appreciate your patience.
-The AudioDeluxe Team

at least something happening ;-)
which has in first place a "US Distributor" in place, a inbetween between AudioDeluxe and TAL.
Its unclear to me what the truth is. But seems, each one is trying to point towards the other, but not making it look like that.

if there is a US-distributor, its quite unlikely that AD dealt directly with TAL.
I´d guess "the wrong" happened between AD and sayed Distributor.

Which opens up the question to me:
" and how much $ is TAL supposed to see on this deal?"
"Plugin has turned Drug now"....and the business knows it.

On my side I was more thinking TAL has not much responsibility in the problem...
But thanks for the additional information.

While for TAL, it could even be the best to contact a lawyer first, bevore giving out any communication.
....those layers who just wait to get some work in on a weekend, right ?
Depending on the situation and existing contracts

edit: typos
"Plugin has turned Drug now"....and the business knows it.

Post

Why does he need a lawyer? All he needs to do is give licenses to the distributors. Unless we are not being told about what is going on.
