Anyone know how to do this?

Thanks...
If you're on windows try as a start
Start -> Accessories -> Accessibility -> Magnifier
Pick up one of the many magnifiers you can google for

It's no excuse for a scalable window and configurable fonts, especially in this day and age, but it's something.

Accessibility - has to be a top priority for any software maker today.
ST3 just has to have it.
Hey everyone,
I'm sure many of you know this already, but the (col)or, (lum)inance, and (sat)uration controls on the right side of the GUI made my life MUCH easier, even without resizing (I use Mac, so no Magnifier). I found a nice bright 50's aqua made the patch lists MUCH easier on the eye...

Also the 7-part YouTube ST2 training videos are amazing, especially the stretch and sound shaping segments! Kudos!

And a linux ST? My netbook awaits! :o

I almost dove on that one when I read that it was derived from the new Cinema Sessions but am glad I didn't once I checked the patch list. Don't get me wrong, it's awesome, I just have it already.
I guess Cinema Sessions may use these same sounds just in IP format (or the IK page contains a typo)..
Interesting! Thanks for clarifying :) Maybe Squids and co. will explain....

Oh I see. Yes, now I remember. Those are from Piano Collection 1 and the presets stem from the same initial instruments, but each is saved as a parent with different FX applied, giving you different starting points. You don't have to delete those doubles, unless the duplicate with FX does nothing for you. I haven't visited those recently, but it is quite possible that it is more than FX that makes them different. Even though the sample content may be identical, each version of the parent might have tweeks to the envelope, LFO, filter, tuning, etc. Definitely audition the instruments before deleting.

I recommend Durex pleasure-enhancing warming lubricant. It comes in the red bottle, and is better than all the other products in their lube line-up. A couple of drops can last for hours. ;-)

Dont know if this has been asked before (I bet it has), but is there a concrete, scheduled fix for the faulty automation in Ableton Live? I cant seem to automate anything in Live with Sampletank, while other synths and vst's work like a charm.

Its a shame that I cant get the encoder controls mapped to my automations in Live because of this.

Love this group buy. To put it like this, if this get fixed I wont have ONE bad word to say about ST.

Peter, do you know if there is anything in progress regarding this Live issue?

I seem to recall seeing something about an upcoming patch, but I really dont know if I'm confusing this with another app/vst.

dry, they're the same. i don't understand why children weren't made instead. i'm sure someone official will come along with an explanation

Agreed! That's a really cool tune and a great example of what can be done with these sounds!

For the person who asked about the wildcard library of unreleased sounds, I'm pretty sure Squids mentioned along the way that it had been replaced by the wider selection of bonus choices when you join through esoundz.

Got the player installed fine, and started installing sounds, but I didn't see a way to install them on a different drive than the plug-in? It installed automatically to C:\IK Multimedia\Instruments. Can I move this folder to my data drive and point the plug-in to it later, or is there something I'm missing during the install? (If I have to redo the plug-in install that's no big deal, I haven't opened the plug-in yet, so I haven't completed the authorization process. I won't use up one of my install authorizations.) Thanks all.
You choose your library location within SampleTank. Prefs or, upon first startup you should be prompted. You can move them anywhere you'd like, point to that location and be done. If you do this now before installing more libraries, the added benefit is that future installs of Xpansion Tanks will then install to the library location you have chosen. Neat, eh?
Thanks Peter! I stopped after the first library just in case I could do this. Can't wait to take these for a spin tomorrow (and download my second set of packs!).

I was wondering the same thing. They do appear to be exactly the same samples with different names.

I *do* have Piano Collection 1 (the earliest version - from the ancient days of SampleTank v1).

If anyone is wondering, there are only THREE new parent samples in Piano Collection 2 that weren't in the original. The new ones are "Acoustic Grand", "Dyno My Road", and "Granduation Day".

So now that Granduation Day turns out to be a duplicate, that only leaves two new parent patches.

My original doesn't have the child patches, but esoundz has the SampleTank 2 presets as a free download for those of us who bought it before they started putting those patches on the discs.

That pack has 95 child patches. There are 110 listed in Piano Collection 2. So if anyone has the original, there's hardly any difference.

here's the Symphony Strings 2

i've just checked the 1st 2. the only difference is the lowest zone of violinsmn, below g2, is turned off
EDIT: i compared chamber strings to fast arco strings. somehow, the release knobs work at different ratios, but they sound the same and you can get the same results with the release knob in different positions

I appreciate your posting these. I am saving the images to store in my Xpansion Pack folders for future reference. This is good information. :-)

Trying to decide between 70's Retro groves and Hip Hop Instruments (unless Symphony Strings 2 is better?)?

Any suggestions/tips/experiences on these? Does 70's retro Grooves come with Slices like the R.A.W. packs? Looking for something than can go with almost anything.

Thanx :)
