I am a bit mystified by these issues that only seem to be affecting a small number (3 that I am aware of) of users. It works fine in all these hosts on my machine. The only thing I can think of is that the installer may not be null-terminating the registry value on some machines. That could cause this crash to happen. I'll do a bit of investigation.

ah,yes.as crystal.amoebe wrote:They work together with the randomizing button. If you set a knob to 0%, there is no randomization of the randomizing group (you could check the manual to see which knob controls which group, but I think (hope) the GUI is clear about it), if you set the knob to 100%, you get wild variations in parameter value. I hope their function is clear now.

Just to let you know that v0.9.6 is now available from the site (http://www.humanoidsounds.co.uk). This should fix all of everybody's problems (well.. synth-related ones anyway).

Hey this new version doesn't smash my CPU when it idles. I can finally start using this thing for real. For some reason the main page of the default GUI makes my graphics stuttery but if I switch to another page or close the plugin interface everything returns to normal. Doesn't impact on the CPU at all, so I can live with it for now.

I've got a new PC... I give a try...
edit : with an Intel Dual Core, no more CPU and GUI problems, this synth is a little wonder. Are there any presets somewhere ? (well... I found the random button..., but I'm curious to hear what others have done.)
A huge thank for this work.

There are 75 presets that come with the instrument. To access them one could use the "<< >>" at the top left of the synth that some hosts use or go to the area marked "presets" to select the desired sound.
If you love the randomize button but want sounds still on pitch (non fx): on the Master page in the pitch section set the green knob to 0.00% so that section is not randomized.

Hey John, just found your synth -- really really great piece of work (and thanks to all those in the community that helped with this lovely interface).
This thing sounds like I patched together three or four weird old boxes to make a freaky hybrid sound generator. Some of the patches make me think I can hear the dodgy cords I used to string them together! It can sound slick and it can sound homemade -- great direction you've discovered here.
Thank you (and to all the others) for all your hard work.
Cheers.

and don't forget there's also new skin available:

This features-lite version only shows the master volume, fx's on/off and the randomize amount knobs. Oh, and a big red button you can press in case there's a pollonium attack in your neighbourhood, and of course a series of tubes at the top right to make it internet compatible. Enjoy!
