and as a side note, whatever rich wants to do with the product, it's his choice... i'm sold on it... I have a lot of respect for you bones, whatever background you come from... I was homeless at about 12 and that didn't change until i was about 19... but i got by. From my perspective, EBM, Industrial type music is my hip hop... my way out of the ghetto... so props to you and the scene, fie on trolls who try and degrade others for they're own satisfaction. i try and present my true personality here, so yeah, at times i'm harsh, but for the record, i call my friends assholes all the time, because we are. power to the people, i'm out!

Easy, I'm putting off boring administrative tasks at work [have been for a week now].2windy wrote:Bones, how the feck do you find time to write so much lol? Are there more hours in a day in Oz?
You need to watch that. I called JMC from ImageLine a clever bastard once and he went off the deep end. Buts that's OK, at the time I though Jean-Marie was a girl's name [its two English girl's names], I only found out later she was a he.dover666 wrote:i call my friends assholes all the time, because we are. power to the people, i'm out!

BONES wrote:Yeah, well my perspective on it is that I am happy to go wherever it is that Rich wants to take me because I don't believe for a minute that I know more than he does and I trust that if he does his own thing rather than the things I have asked for that it will be to my good in the long run.
And it is my proud duty to sleep on a little carpet at the foot of his bed, and bark or snarl (as appropriate) at anyone who has any ideas about Orion that I imagine Rich couldn't be bothered with, even though I personally wouldn't approve of those ideas.
It's a difficult duty to be a self-appointed ambassador, spokesperson and "guardian at the gate", but one that I feel I am honor-bound to perform.

that's good BONES, but it wasn't my statement I was talking about, it was yoursBONES wrote:No. Sane men ignore anything you have to say.spaceman wrote:any sane man would read the biggest hint of all in that statement..
because it was an almost empty project and I had only used one bus (of the unlimited amount of busses)I count 24. And what a total shit-fight the Logic mixer is. That krap would drive me nuts. Where is the EQ? And do I see only one send?spaceman wrote:2 insert slots hey
and that screenshot was from the audio mixer, not the track mixer where you can filter channels by type with the click of a button
the eq is on top btw, it's one of 9 possible eq, the channel eq being an 8 channel with comprehensive fft analyser built in.. but there's also the linear phase eq and a bunch more
that's very nice for you but in the real world away from the BONES universe people DO use more than a few effectsYou say "unlimited", I say "unruly". My attitude has always been that if a sound needs more than one or two effects applied to it, its probably not the right sound and I'll go looking for something else. Keeps everything under control.spaceman wrote:you know the word 'unlimited'![]()
like in .. inserts, .. busses, .. auxs
if you make shite music like yours than I'm surprised you need any effects at all, apart from maybe a global mute button
yes, so in short, I was saying that two sliders makes sense. Thanks for agreeingNo, for that you would have to use the Pan and Volume controls together. So you'd balance your stereo then set your level, no more or less effort than haing two sliders, although considerably less effort than having two sliders when your mix is properly balanced to start with [as it should be]. I think I would want to balance it via individual channels rather than compensate in my master section.spaceman wrote:although with a pan you can't, say, lower left by 20% and up right by 42%..it's always balanced

The latter comment was a trifle unkind..............spaceman wrote:that's very nice for you but in the real world away from the BONES universe people DO use more than a few effects
