I really like the new text/number thing, nice one.
Is it possible to create a number knob with decimal places?
eg 0.0 to 5.0 across 101 frames (without typing in 0.0,0.1,0.2 etc)
I tried (0.0:5.0) but it isn't working and I don't see anything in the help about decimal points

@g200kg:
if i may add some additional feature requests:
- embossing outside, like in photoshop (right now it's applied inside). very nice when the actual primitive's shape shouldn't be touched.
- embossing inside and outside simultanesly, like in photoshop (relief)
- dropshadow size adjustable independently, like in photoshop (if you need to diffuse it very hard, the shadow gets too small often)
- size of the texture adjustable independently
- i miss embossings in the following primitives: circle, wave circle, rectangle, triangle, radiated line
the primitives h-line and v-line are very hard to adjust, they often have different distances and different shapes, depending on the rendersize, zoom and step ... is there a way to prevent this?
i know i'm asking much (hope you don't feel offended), i just thought i have to ask ...
keep up the trumendes work!
thanks again!

really a great tool, awesome!
i like the extra stuff (presets) people uploaded so far, really nice!
(the faceknob, retro, and glowyellow are my favs)
how about some more classic bread and butter presets?
i come to think of.. some LEDs, glow-buttons/glow-pads/off/on=glow,
classic slider (chrome/black), black rubber drumpads.

1. Quantisation option for every layer, so that you can render certain layers with a lower frame rate. Use case: If you want to create a knob with a LED-Circle around it and you don't want to see half glowing LEDs.

KnobMan is fantastic, made it so much easier than rendering with Photoshop, and the results look really nice (well, compared to the horrors I made with PS!). The realtime feedback is very well done, makes it intuitive to edit everything

thanks for many comments and requests
though i probably cant satisfy all of them, i always appreciate new requests.
now working on:
i found very small size non-TTfont(ex. SmallFonts) is not rendered correctly. some pixels are distorted. i would like to change rendering method for improve.
the link fred mentioned seems great, especially these are TT-font
BTW....
unfortunately, today, my PC has crashed though i doing some improvement on knobman. it takes a little long to next release (though i would like to do at least fixing bugs)
* dont worry, the sourcecode is safe
* from sub note PC.

don't worry, like i said, if it can be done, cool, if not, knobman's already great!g200kg wrote:thanks for many comments and requests![]()

though i hope you can fix that the antialiasing state is not saved ... though it's rendered perfectly, if you rmrmber to switch it on/off on the respective layers after loading ...

This really is one of the most useful, flexible and powerful tools I have come across for GUI design, literally saviong hours and hours of work. ~I used to create all my knobs, sliders, etc using a combination of Xara, Truespace and PSP, but now with knobman I have the one stop shop to work in, I almost feel like redoing all my interfaces to a consistant design because the knobs I have been creating with it look so good.
Thanks for this and I promise I will donate as soon as I have a little spare cash - everybody donate

For everyone looking for free small fonts Grymmjack has some very small ones on his web page: http://designermonkey.rekkerd.org/dl.php scroll down to "Original bitmap pixel fonts I've made" and download them.
Or try Proggyfonts: http://www.proggyfonts.com/index.php?menu=download . Great monospaced fonts originally designed for programmers but useful for anyone needing small fonts.

xport is all screwed up for me in 1.06... all it'll do is .bmp, on every filetype. man i hope i'm not the only one who this is happening to... also, .png import is a bit shakey.
by the way your software f-ing rocks! it's great for those photoshop style knobs in about 1/10th of the time! is there any way you could make it so that ppl could make their own primitives? is it just a bump-map/alpha mask type of deal? if so that would be awesome, i bet people would come up with alot of helpful prims.
oh yeah, i'll send some $ as soon as i get some $, broke right now but when i'm not i'd be glad to support this.
