the one good thing about being broke is you get to bypass the credit crunch pretty much unaffected

The HW is more wide yes, but sounds like it is looping, Epic verb does not...Warp69 wrote:Sounds very nice.bootsie wrote:1.) Realtime animations of certain reverb parameters which a convolution reverb can't give you, as well as that nice reverb tail animation (listen to the very last 'boom' in the demo - ain't that awesome?). This shows the ability of EV on small rooms which are rendered now without any artefacts or comb-filtering kind of effects:

It's quite easy to achieve density and movement in a reverb tail, but a lot harder to get spaciousness or spatial impression. Here's a test : Epic reverb first and HW second - www.relab.dk/reverb/Spatial.wav
It could be a setting, I dont know, but I thibk your reverb lacks some spatial impression - It's mono like. As I said it could eaily be a setting or taste. Anyway I used the last sound from your first sound file for the test.
Cheers

What would be more noticeable in a mix?olepro wrote:The HW is more wide yes, but sounds like it is looping, Epic verb does not...
Good point, but what about a "mix" with one instrumentWarp69 wrote:What would be more noticeable in a mix?olepro wrote:The HW is more wide yes, but sounds like it is looping, Epic verb does not...
Oh - as I wrote before : The HW could easily be more smooth, but that was not the purpose of the test. For all I know the Epic reverb could have a width parameter where you could control the spatial impression - I sincerely don't know.
the epicVerb beta had some reapperaing bug which where needed to be fixed finally and therefore some minor delay. But the worst thing is already done: the manualshanecgriffo wrote:any Estimated Time of Arrival?
You mean a mix of a single transient sound with gaps of 1 sec+, right?olepro wrote:Good point, but what about a "mix" with one instrument
We were waiting for a manual?! We're musicians, we don't need no stinking manual! Some us can't or won't read anyway.bootsie wrote: But the worst thing is already done: the manual
Yes exactlyWarp69 wrote:You mean a mix of a single transient sound with gaps of 1 sec+, right?olepro wrote:Good point, but what about a "mix" with one instrument![]()
