I'll respond for the nutlickers as most of us don't post on music forums.

Those of us that make music try to involve nutlicking in said music and therefore classify it as nutlicking as well, musical-nutlicking if you will. Similarly, the artists among us generally say that they don't make art, they lick their nuts artistically.

I make music and plenty of it

(helps pay the bills)... but I come here because I am also interested in the digital side of things.

I like my analogs to be analog and my digitals to be digital, no point trying to emulate each other if they both excel at different types of sounds.

I like analog but I got no interest in maintaining equipment, spending the money or making the space... I am happy with my soft synths... straight digital synth, no effects

Actually there are few points... here are some of them:

Analog sound + ...

1. Total recall
2. Multiple Instances
3. Convenience factor
4. Preset management

It's like saying...no point in trying to re/create analog scenes in movies....digitally (even though it is the superior standard now).

i think the first one is analog, second is digital/software
both sound similar!
i can't say which is "better" .. both sound usefull

btw, here is a similar sample.rar (wave file inside) of an analog vs software synth

i am not really sure why people blindly think that "if it's not analog - it's shit" or "any analog synth sounds better than a software one"
i think that there are great synths in both the analog/hardware and software worlds
just don't be negative, and open your ears wide..
