Amazing stuff! Thank you!! And ive read that the newest version of the EZ Player PRO has a custom wrapper map for Ocean Way Drums, too! I dont really know how that works, but it's good, i believe... :hihi:

Will we be able to start downloading the drums when we hit 200 people? Oh, how I hope so... :)

We'll try but that may happen faster than expected so it is not likely to be ready by then. But it should be ready for download before the 30th and we'd love for you all to have it WHILE the group buy is still going. So we'll keep you posted about that.

By the way, here's what Drum Masters 2 Signature Drum Kits looks like: Image

Volume 1 is dedicated more to artists of the Drum Masters 2 series like Danny Gottlieb, Steve Gadd, Bill Bruford, Jerry Marotta, Ed Greene, John Blackwell and Nick D'Virgilio. Volume 2 is more "in the style of" and includes more Bonham (including kits played with HANDS like Moby Dick) as well as signature snares of artists like Dave Weckl (Yamaha), Dennis Chambers (Pearl) and Stewart Copeland (Tama). Both volumes are really great. They each have over 25 kits and while some of them are in this group buy you will all get a $99 off coupon on either of them... which would essentially make this group buy FREE (if you were going to get either of those two volumes ever anyway... normally without a coupon saving you over 50% off the list price which is $229!). But the fact that you can use the coupon TWICE ($99 off Volume 1 and $99 off Volume 2 as well if you want) means that if you were ever going to get both volumes you'd be not only getting this bundle with OWD kits and hybrid kits for free but also saving another hundred bucks... all by joining this group buy. That's assuming you might have purchased those two volumes though but considering all the good stuff they have I don't see why many people wouldn't! They're great value at their normal selling price of $199. But being able to get them for less just this one time... I think that will be appreciated. We'll let you know when they're available and when the coupons will work.

Not a bad way to get into Drum Masters 2 for anyone new to it (or even for people that already own previous titles since at least Volume 2 has a lot of previously unreleased stuff... Volume 1 has some new stuff too but it does have a lot of the kits from the previous Drum Masters Silver Edition which is going away soon and this in some ways is replacing it).

Right now we're at 137!

Any news on Receptor compatibility? I know that Receptor certainly plays well with Kontakt, but I've also heard that things like NI Scarbee bass won't run on Receptor, so...... Anyway, looks great. Waiting to pile in on the fun!

Hmm, quick question - anyone know how many MIDI-files EZ player pro ships with? It only says "generous amount" of MIDI-files...

In case this is a good read, there's another thread (in the marketplace but I suspect it will be moved since it is not a marketplace topic) where a comparison between Ocean Way Drums and Steve Slate Drums is asked about. The short version is that it isn't apples with apples. The long version is in that thread.

It seems that the V-Drums.com thread is locked. But I think they're going to re-open it and just take out a few of the spammy moments. They don't have a marketplace forum over there like KVR. Each forum should have one so people can benefit from talking about the "deals" out there and this one is time sensitive! It'd be a shame for any V-Drummers to miss this one.

Here's a list of threads that have been posted outside KVR so far:

I listened to the demo tunes and tried the free kit with the demo player and it sounds really nice, I'm a little confused about the details of the products though.
First are the drum master kits mix down kits just like the ocean way kits , are there room mics and overhead mics or are they dry kits with just the individual drum channels for mixing ? Are the impulse resonses included the only way to add extra ambience like pseudo room mics?
Secondly since there are 27 kits that take up only 17 gigs each kit will only be around 600 megs . I'm wondering how many velocity levels each kit has and how the round robin works are there alternate strikes for each velocity level eg. if I remember correctly addictive drums only has 8 velocity levels but 4 round robins for each level giving it natural sound (to my ears anyways), I know it was mentioned the esounds has a special round robin method but would like to know a bit more about it.
And how well does mixing kit peices from kit to kit work , since the kits are recorded in different rooms will they sound out of place with eachother or sit fairly well together granted you are not using an ambient mix kit peice with a dry mix kit peice , one thing I really like is the ability to switch kits peices around.
thanks for any help with my questions
Nobody's a nobody...

Where can you hear the drum masters demos ?

And how much control do you have over them. Is it complete multitrack out: snare top, snare bottom etc. or is it just a stereo feed ?

Is there a Drum Masters downloadable demo kit ?
