When you get the "Sample Missing" window - what path name does Kontakt expect the files to be in?
And what is the path name of the .nkx file?
What happens when you browse to the folder containing the .nkx file?

---------
Is the installed .nkx file the same size as the .nkx file within the .zip file?

You misunderstand. The very fact that these files are showing up as RAR files means that you DO have WinRAR on your machine. The files uploaded in your download area are plain old ZIPS. WinRAR automatically converts these to RAR files, and the IP installer was made to install zip files, not RAR files.

Suit yourself, but I'd uninstall WinRAR temporarily, download the zip AS A ZIP, drop it in your installer AS A ZIP.

WEll..every other kit had no problems installing, just the Gretch kit, but thanks to guitarandy..I have it fixed, I had to do replace the files by hand, So I dont think it's because of the RAR issue, if so, why did every other kit install just fine?

Just a "near" the top of the page note... Don't forget to check the Vital Info thread: http://www.kvraudio.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=273725

Loads and plays fine here. I'm using the V-drum kits.

Willing to try anything..I did as you said and made it so Winrar is not a part of zip files, and the files I havd DL are back to being zip files..

Hmm. Thought you already had it fixed. I learned first hand about some of the quirky things with WinRAR. It is strange that all the others worked fine and this one didn't.

Anyway, good luck with it.

Now, so far we should all have :

1. 13 OWD kits
2. 17 DM2 kits (Thats counting the ones that came in the "Misc" file)
3. The piano
4. Sig. snare!
5. The Oddgrooves
6. Ip player

O.k. is this right so far...Just so we all know that this phase is completed.

When I read that, I thought you must have inflated your kit count, because I didn't recall having so many DM2 kits. I decided I should count the ones in my DM2 folder, and expected to find maybe 14, but instead found 18!!!

I thought I had less... but I had even more!

The extra 18th kit was the Ludwig Jazz Kit which was only for those of us who had Infinite Player already.

And there is even more coming later today!! :hyper:

hi guys, sorry if this is not in the right topic.

I'm in a mac machine with mac os 10.4 (tiger).

I download two different infinite players from http://www.downloadablesoundz.com/.
One has 560Mb in disk, and looks like this:

and the other has 362Mb in disk and looks like this:

The first one, I can't install. It runs the setup, but in the end it gives me an error, and says to try again.

The second one, install the infinite player and kontakt player 2 at the same time, and it appears to be installed successfully.

Now, my doubt if this the same infinite player that everyone is using, and if I might experience some problems in the future.

Thanks, sorry my english.

You get to install the second one on a Mac? That is impossible! ".exe" is an executable file for Windows OS. They don't work on Mac.

So just recheck once what you are actually doing there.
doh!!

Humm..I did have it fixed...But thought you made a good point so I fixed winrar ALSO. so hopefully the next round of DL's are trouble free...But to RECAP..I did have it fixed before I changed the settings in winrar. so I actually don’t know if that was a problem, because I am not fixing something that is not broke ANYMORE to see if winrar was the problem...just wonder why every other kit had no problems with dropping them in as RAR. hummmm is right!!!

They're ZIP files. Not RAR files which are a different format. RAR does not work with the Infinite Library Installer. But ZIP (made on PC) does.

The Infinite Library Installer does work. It sucks when people say to others that it doesn't work just because it wasn't working for them and then others might think it is faulty. That doesn't mean it is. It could be human error on your end or internet issues with incomplete downloads (most likely). Best solution is to either download and again and make sure the sizes match up to what you see (and don't unzip kits - drag and drop them zipped onto the Lib installer). You can follow the Easy Step Guide - something special you have to do for Windows Vista and 7 - it is in the guide. Allen also posted it in here. Or you can contact Allen for help.

Once you get going with it you'll find it to not only work well but actually a very EASY way to get sounds added to a virtual instrument. So hang in there!

Not for a number of us... don't worry about it, all software has bugs! It's tough to get things working on so many different configurations. We'll get to the bottom of it with Allen's help :) certainly could be user error.
