I really dig it :-)

deserves a daily bump
sound is vibration, vibration is life

Impressed with v1.5. Will the new updated version be compatible with this version? Thanks again for your fine work!

Post

Thank you guys! :D

@DJ_Bach: Well, depends! I will do some last final changes to the layout, the "Echo" section will be kicked out, a nice reverb is coming instead.

Also some other features are coming per layer, like LFO, modulation Envelope and stuff ...

So you can try saving FXP's of your settings - it should be possible to reload them. Also perhaps via the browser. But i cannot guarantee this at the moment - so please be patient and allow 4-7 days for the latest (for now) v1.6 release!! :-)

EDIT: Ok, old Presets/FXP's that have been made by/saved with Phenome won't work in the next Update i'm sorry for this!

Its because i'm changing the send-fx routines and stuff. Each layer now has its own seperate Delay-Fx / Unit.

The "echo" and chorus will be dropped. (Chorus can be achieved using the Widener, which is available per Layer).

The Echo-effect will be replaced by a global reverb!

Expect this update soon :)

I'll just have to adapt. The new changes seem well worth it.

just something to tease you :D

in the next v1.6 update which will be the last (for now) you will have a modulation section with 2x modulators, 2x targets each, one modulation envelope and one synced LFO.

besides this the new browser for soundfonts, presets (and later: multis) will come. presets and soundfont files can be loaded with one click.

you can still save settings/layers easily in phenome presets.

besides this there are smaller bugfixes, the fx-section has been dropped, there's a new nice reverb included, delay PER layer and note-gliding has been added.

when this update is done i will concentrate myself onto the new library :)

Hehe, Thank you... I am one of the people who cannot stand/handle browsing through 50 different .SF2 files. A proper soundset that you can browse easily through would be a God send. :) Good work!

In the next update (v1.6) you can "one-click" load and audition soundfounts via the browser. it doesn't get any quicker than this :)

Sorry if you already know this or it's been posted but:

some soundfonts get loaded and are instantly playable, while some other soundfonts have to be checked/enabled after loading (that is: the instrument contained inside a soundfont needs to be checked, even if it's the only one).

does this only happen with soundfonts where the instrument you want to choose isn't in location/slot "0" in the soundfont file?

phenome resets bank/patch to "0" after loading a soundfont so this should work.
care to give me details so that i can have a look? :)

EDIT: typos.

Yes, I think this is it. The problematic soundfonts have instruments that start with number 1 or more.

Also, I encountered a soundfont that doesn't get loaded in Phenome at all. (But it loads in SFZ.) The name is 1-TamaRockSTAR-se3.sf2, in case it sounds familiar. :) Let me know and I'll send it to you.
edit: another one: Drumset.sf2. edit2: Actually, there are a few of those..
If I hover over the slot I can see the file path, tho.
