Hi,

I'm having a similar problem. I have the serial number for the Miroslav Group Buy, and I'm registered with IK Multimedia, but when I visit the IK User Area the product doesn't appear under Downloads or Sounds. It's probably a question for IK support, but I thought I'd try here first, since people here seem to be very helpful.

Great deal on Miroslav!

That's right. You first have to authorize the serial.

I didn't see anyplace that you had to enter the serial number. Is that on the IK user area?

Go to the support area of IK Multimedia and click on the Product Registration link. :)

For anyone else experiencing issues or getting nervous about ordering because others are having issues:

IK Multimedia and esoundz are two entirely separate companies. This group buy is an esoundz extra kicker on top of an IK promotion, so you'll end up going back and forth between the two company web sites. (If you're anything like me, you're not entirely clear-minded to start with, so it's easy to get confused.)

The short version is that you place the order from esoundz and get your registration ID code from esoundz.

But then you register your instrument and download it - and more importantly, the sound library that goes with it - from IK Multimedia.

And then you choose and download your group buy bonus item(s) from esoundz.

Other notes:

You'll need to have User IDs on both web sites. They're entirely separate. Esoundz and DownloadableSoundz are the same company, but IK Multimedia is a completely different outfit.

When you place your order at esoundz, be patient - orders are filled manually, so it may take a few hours for the Product Registration Key to show up in your esoundz user area.

The IK web site can be a little confusing for new users. You register your product in the "Support" section, but download your product in the "User Area" section.

And in the user section, "Downloads" and "Sound Downloads" are separate menu items. You will probably get the instrument program itself (the engine and interface) from the "Downloads" section, and the sound library that comes with it from the "Sound Downloads" section.

Note that IK puts a time limit on those sound libraries - either 30 days or 60 days (I don't recall which). You'll need to download your sound library pretty soon after you place your order.

Strictly for the IK promotion, you could order the instrument anywhere and get the current discount price (and have $5 of your purchase go towards earthquake recovery efforts in Japan). But to get the bonus sound set(s) from esoundz, you would have to order it through esoundz.

You won't have that time limit on your bonus choice(s) from esoundz.

Your bonus libraries will work in the SampleTank instrument interface, but can't be played using Sonik Synth, SampleMoog, etc. So if you don't already have any version of SampleTank, you'll want to go back to the IK web site and download a free copy of SampleTank Free. The download link should already be waiting for you in the Downloads section of your User Area.

When you install your instrument program, you'll need to go through IK's authorization and activation routine. If you need a serial number, it will be in the Authorizations section of your User Area on the IK web site.

If you already have a version of SampleTank installed (with an engine that is version 2.5 or higher), including the free SampleTank Free, then you don't really have to install the other instrument programs if you don't want to. The sound libraries from all five programs will work in SampleTank. The interface looks different, but all the features are still there.

hope that helps...

Hmmm... no updates from Squids for a couple of days now. We might be right at (or above) the 200 mark and not even know it yet.

I had the same problem, asked for advice on the IK forum and was given the same instructions to go to 'downloads' for the Miroslav program / plug in and 'sound downloads' for the 9 zip files with the sound libraries.

The sound banks were all where they should be but the actual program was nowhere to be seen anywhere and it still isn't!

In the end I just downloaded the demo and put the serial number into the upgrade / authorise section and it works perfectly fine now as the serial number opens up all the restrictions for the demo and allows it to see all the sound banks so there's no need to worry about this if your thinking about buying it.

The IK website isn't the best imo though, could be easier in its instructions.

Hope this helps. :)

Just a note here. If you buy Miroslav and already own Sampletank, and also own a program like Notion 3, it is best to install the Miro program as well, as Notion 3 would recognize the Miro program and automatically integrate it with all presets and keyswitches in your system.

Whew!

So I'm not crazy. It's really convaluted. To make matters worse, I ended up with 2 profiles on IK and can't get into the one that I suspect has my new order.

I went through the "forgot password" routine and got a new password but it doesn't work. I've got a tech support ticket and am still waiting.

Thanks for all the help.

No, you're not crazy. Every time IK has a promotion, people get mixed up by their web site. It's certainly not the first time, and it won't be the last.

This one is especially tricky because the group buy is an esoundz thing, not IK's show. That adds an extra layer of potential confusion, but it's well worth it.

On the plus side, both companies are pretty cool with support on stuff like that (and a few higher-ups at IK also lend a hand if needed to make sure customer issues get resolved).

Sorry, I was in a recording session over the weekend. Not quite there yet but we're getting close. I predict we'll reach 200 some time this week though and that will be a really nice thing because we have a special surprise (and if you don't like the surprise you can just pick out another library from that big list we gave for the first one so you can't lose! - Two extra libraries for free on top of a great deal in the first place).

Keep spreading the word guys. If you've posted outside of this thread please share the link here so we can see it. Still a month left on this! A lot can happen. Thanks Torgo and the veterans who are helping out and keeping this going. Might have to start handing out some epointz to the above and beyonders to show our appreciation.

I had the same problem. I got a new password and it would not let me log in. I had to go in to my cookies( I think that was where I went ), and sure enough there were three IKMultimedia cookies there that needed to be deleted. Once I did that all was fine. I could log in with no problem. It seemed they were holding the info for my old password.

Hope this helps.

This has most likely been answered but not sure where right now:

If I buy two instruments and the bonus freebies get to 2 for the GB, does that mean I get 2 bonuses for each instrument I buy, or are the number of bonuses not dependent on how many instruments you buy?

In other words,

Buy 1 instrument = Get 2 bonus libraries.
Buy 2 instruments = Get 4 bonus libraries?

Or,

Buy 2 instruments = Get 2 bonus libraries (no perks for extra instruments bought)?

I believe Squids said this,

Buy 1 instrument = Get 1 bonus library
Buy 2 instruments = Get 2 bonus libraries

There will also be an option for another type of goodie or additional library if we get to 200, but we haven't yet been told what that goodie will be. So I believe you are correct.
