I have to say something. I'll put my flame retardant suit on first :hihi:.....

Though some of the presets in massive are pretty good, I find it thin for bass sounds. There, I said it.

Ok so if you want to make any of these following Genres

Dubstep, brostep, etc

Trance, Techno, Trance, Electro, House

Then Zebra, Sylenth & Massive will cover about 90% of your synthesizer needs. Im quite Serious.

Normally I dont like promoting Vengeance stuff, but they have good sound examples of the synthesizers i mentioned.

Great sound demos for Zebra 2 on here

havent got it with me but off the top of my head, quite a few were in the 'CM studio' that they have on their coverdisc.

I remember seeing:

-tyrell n6
-crystal
-genesis CM
-zebracm

it wasnt hugely surprising to be honest, unless people are more interested in which order they rank in.. :P
I'll post a proper list when i get home.

Post

My list would have been:

10 Krishna Synth
9 FM 8
8 Gladiator
7 Diva
6 Electrax
5 Alchemy
4 Omnisphere
3 Massive
2 Zebra
1 Sylenth1 - Will always run on Windows as MS keeps their OS's compatible.

I love outdated synths like my juno 106 and Ensoniq SD-1

I can understand why some people seem to hate Sylenth1 & Lennard, for not bringing us new products after Sylenth1 and updating Sylenth1 MAC to 64 bit. I know Lennard personally, in fact I've met him last month at 'Pollerwiesen', a party in Germany, just over the Dutch border. Contrary to popular believe, he really is a nice guy :) He's not really a 'business' type of person and that's obviously the reason he's not handling things commercially very well. When you look at his website, you soon get the impression that Sylenth1 is dead (no updates since 2009 !). I asked him about that, he said that it was quite the contrary, he wouldn't go into details but said that if you'd turn on any popular radio station, there's a chance bigger than 50% you hear Sylenth1 in the song playing. Why he doesn't update his website and make success like this visible to the public is really beyond me. Oh, and of course, I asked him about 64 bits MAC, he said the whole GUI had to be rewritten (again !) for that and that this would cost quite some time but definately was something that was going to happen, but that this wasn't something to be expected in the next few months. Not sure if this is what the haters wanted to hear, but I thought I'd share it here anyway.

Well, if Sylenth1 really is that popular then sure he can afford to hire a Mac developer who knows Cocoa...? I could recommend him about 5 people who I'm sure would be happy to help.

And the virus beats them all;-)

It would be the first thing I'd do: hire somebody to help out with all the work ! Lennard is still running his company all by himself. I think you Urs have at least 5 people working for you ? And Native Instruments for example is employing dozens of people, maybe even 100 ? It's something I really don't understand about lennard, like most of his business decisions. As good as Lennard is at audio algo's, as bad he is at running a business it seems ...

Hmmm, yeah. NI are more than 250 people inclduing the LA crew.

I couldn't keep up without my employees and freelancers, but we also have dozens of plug-ins. In all fairness, one synth may be manageable to maintain by one person.

Mostly in price and in age :-p

I still don't get Lennard decision. We had to rewrite the GUI for all our Mac products (except Corona) and I don't think we are as popular (=sales) as him.

If he said he lost the source code it would seem more credible.
