I was just thinking about it, again.
I'm making some remix and I was thinking of using Obxd. But it's probably better to wait for the "full version".
Sounds great, 2DaT!

Wow.... I thought that if you subtitle "x" of the "Ob-x" with the number "1" that could be an AWESOME name :2DaT wrote:Im using VST.NET framework. My c++ skills are bad. Jacobi.Vst.Core.dll
Jacobi.Vst.Framework.dll
Ob-x.dll
Ob-x.net.dll
"Ob-1 Jacobi"

The idea is nice but there could be confusions with the existing OB-1 synth:Tp3 wrote: Wow.... I thought that if you subtitle "x" of the "Ob-x" with the number "1" that could be an AWESOME name :

sounds gorgeous but there's some nasty clipping/distortions going on about midway through. hopefully it was just a volume clipping issue2DaT wrote:Lfo version on testing. Here is some resonant filter lfo-things. Sounds very "oberheim" for me:![]()

Yes. Filter with high resonance increaces volume significalnly, and obxd gets too loud. Also many voices played simultaneously increace overall volume too.olikana wrote:sounds gorgeous but there's some nasty clipping/distortions going on about midway through. hopefully it was just a volume clipping issue2DaT wrote:Lfo version on testing. As i know, hardware has problems with loudness too

Implementing the LFO and all of its modulation routings must have been really time consuming. Thank you so much for your time to release this update 2DaT!

I've been playing with it for a good while and it just sounds great. I love playing with it so much.
So far I have one remark for you - LFO frequency, it does go slow enough, but I don't think it can go fast enough. Have you followed the exact OB-X LFO speed specs? In the manual [pg. 33] it says LFO speed range is approx. from 0.0666 Hz [lol - they wrote 1/15 Hz] to 50 Hz and that's rather fast.
That hertz a lot.
You probably have the OB-X or OB-8 manual, but I'll just mention that everybody can download it at http://www.vintagesynth.com/oberheim/ob8.php for the reference.
Cheers!

Well ,just noticed that upper limit is 20hz.DuX wrote: Have you followed the exact OB-X LFO speed specs? In the manual [pg. 33] it says LFO speed range is approx. from 0.0666 Hz [lol - they wrote 1/15 Hz] to 50 Hz and that's rather fast. That hertz a lot.

Mr. Thomas Elroy Oberheim is a genius. Just look at all these parameters [I've been reading OB-8's manual], there aren't too many, but you get one of the most complex subtractive synths in the end. So many different combinations/sounds are possible, especially due to X-mod and LFO that is incredible since you can mix all the waveforms. All those old Rolands and Korgs are just boring to program in comparison. Arp is also interesting to program, 2500 and 2600 especially.
I also noticed you didn't make a noise oscillator yet, 2DaT. I've been preoccupied with making all the classic bass/lead/string sounds and haven't noticed it until today when I tried making a noise+lfo sound.
I find it incredible that I haven't found any bugs. Or I haven't found any bugs *yet*?
Well, some bugs can even be a great feature, actually.

It really frustrates me when LFOs are not able to go in the full range of sub-sub bass. You should be able to get Hz values into the range of human hearing, IMO. 50Hz is a comfortably high value. A++ on the original design specs.2DaT wrote:Well ,just noticed that upper limit is 20hz.DuX wrote: Have you followed the exact OB-X LFO speed specs? I will fix it.
