Hello, I'm new here...
I've purchased Bazille, and I really love it
! The oscillators sound great, and you can get a lot of very good sounds from just one oscillator (even better with a "stack" value of 2+ and some detuned voices), and on another hand, it seems to be possible to process the sound in so many ways to get some complex evolving "modular" sounds.
But there is a little issue... when I use Bazille in my daw (Sonar X2 producer), I cannot save my patches... If I click on the save "button" in the Bazille GUI, it opens the dedicated window, but I cannot enter any text, and the keys trigger the Sonar commands, so for example, if a want to enter a space, it starts to read the project...
Hopefully, there is a "save preset" command at the top of the VST window (it is a function of the vst "container") that I can use, but I can just enter the file name without adding any other information.
Another problem, in the Patches page, if I right click in the left area and use the command "add a folder" and click on "yes", the new folder does not appear, even after a refresh (I've checked in my explorer that it has not been created), and I cannot enter any text too.
I've tried the same things in maschine 2.x and it works perfectly fine. So it seems to come from sonar (I always have some problems with this software...
) but, with Sonar, I generally do not have any problem to save my presets with some third-party vst like Spectral for example.
Anyone has the same problem ?
I have a i5 processor, win7 64 bits, and I use Sonar and bazille in 64 bits mode.

I also have your problem with typing text into the Save Preset. It's a Sonar issue, and there's a workaround.
Click the "give all keystrokes to plugin" (something like that) icon at the top right.
Open Notepad and type your text into it.
Copy the text.
Paste it into the Save Preset dialog.
For the other problem, I'll have to try it out tomorrow.

Hi Mitch, Thank you for your response
I think U-He developpers are serious about their work, so certainly the problem comes from Sonar...
The other issue, well it seems to be the same as the previous one, I think it is due to the pop-up window management...
Yeah, that's what I've done when I realized I can paste with a "right click > pop-up menu > paste " instead of using Ctrl+v which cannot be used here.Mitch I. wrote:Open Notepad and type your text into it.

Ditto this! Picked up Bazille over the weekend, and haven't made it a quarter way through the presets - as it's too easy to get involved in fiddling with the various sonic capabilities. Start tweaking controls, and lose yourself in sounds. Definitely my best purchase in the past several years. Two thumbs up to Urs and team.bmrzycki wrote:Those presets in Bazille are amazing. Many thanks to every sound designer involved.

I put in a bug report to Cakewalk about this back when it was Sonar X - now it's X3 and I gave up on it, they don't fix bugs, they just add more features.Tchandra wrote:Hi Mitch, Thank you for your response![]()

Cakewalk actually contacted us about another issue, in my reply I mentioned the above "keys intercepted" problem among some other stuff. Here's hoping that this'll all be sorted soon.

Works in most other hosts, hopefully soon in Sonar as well, but that's totally up to Cakewalk.
Correct. You cannot create a folder with the name that's entered by default, so first you need to change the name of the folder to something else and then click "yes" to create it.Tchandra wrote:command "add a folder" and click on "yes", the new folder does not appear, even after a refresh (I've checked in my explorer that it has not been created)
That's the same "keys intercepted" problem mentioned above.Tchandra wrote:I cannot enter any text too.

I think this is also an issue in Zebra when using Sonar X3, but if I remember right, Loomer String has the same issue. Most other plugins I have work ok though, like this morning, I was making presets for Diversion and they saved with the name ok.Mitch I. wrote:I also have your problem with typing text into the Save Preset. Just wanted to mention that I did report that issue to Cakewalk back in March of this year. Hopefully they can fix it.

Great stuff there! The range of sounds, expressiveness that is attainable, and the warmth of Bazille's 'sound' is astounding. A major accomplishment Urs and team, congratulations!pdxindy wrote: http://draigathar.org/sounds/B49.mp3
