if the mac beta is resizable, the windows version will be too. one thing i've found so far...ruben is extremely reliable (while, i imagine, lennard fumes in a castle somewhere, hidden away with an old G3 powerbook, and a room full of virgins...at least, that's what i'm picturing).wagtunes wrote:FYI, I heard back from Ruben at LD. The resizeable version isn't available yet. They expect in a month or so. Even owners don't have access to it yet. This is for Windows before anybody tells me it's available for something else.
So if I get it now on sale, I have to wait and hope version 3 comes out soon, if at all and then after it does, that the resize option is good enough.
Like I said, looks like I'm passing on this one.
Not that I'm all that broken up over it.
Is the Sylenth 1 still good?

While you're probably right, it's still a risk I'm not willing to take at this time. Perhaps next year at this time Sylenth1 will be on sale again and the demo will actually be the latest version and I can test it out before buying it. There is no question that once everything is exactly as I need it to be, I will be purchasing Sylenth1.fisherKing wrote:if the mac beta is resizable, the windows version will be too. one thing i've found so far...ruben is extremely reliable (while, i imagine, lennard fumes in a castle somewhere, hidden away with an old G3 powerbook, and a room full of virgins...at least, that's what i'm picturing).wagtunes wrote:FYI, I heard back from Ruben at LD. Never thought I'd actually hear me saying that.

I find Dune 2 better in that regard, but in Dune 1, that was very apparent. Can even see it on a spectrometer, everything up from 20 kHz is simply no existant. No idea why that is, might be the reason why it's so CPU efficient too.TheoM wrote:dune 2 sounds a bit muffled imo

Not after telling us at least a thousand times how you would never ever buy Sylenth1, no. Sure you're not still misty-eyed (eared?) due to the festive season?wagtunes wrote:

seriously, 97.30 euro is a lot better than 139 euro. so, about $106 vs $152 not on sale...or $7. more than $99. what's the big deal? (just wondering)...TheoM wrote:Astralv wrote:Hey there. Sylenth 1 is on sale at $99. I don't have it yet and I see many 3rd party sound libraries for it. I am wondering if it is still able to compete against newer synths and if I need it. I have all other synths available on the market. Is it really such a great synth for today? I compose EDM, trance, dubstep. Thank you.
where is it $99
after all this it's not $99
the sale IS still on but Share it takes it to 99 Euros
Paypal is 97 euros (111 USD)
did you mean 99 Euros?

I feel the same, it certainly sounds good but its not the unique must have it once was. And TBH the behaviour of Lennar is pretty disappointing over the years in regards to updates.chk071 wrote:it's about 116 € if you add VAT to it.
Actually for 50% off, i would have even considered it, but not for 116 €. Just my opinion.

while i totally get that...ruben seems to be on top of things, and lennardigital is finally moving into the 21st century. so am glad to have sylenth1 (back!), and think the sale is better than no sale. it's a great synth, just for what it is...woodsdenis wrote:I feel the same, it certainly sounds good but its not the unique must have it once was. Stop complaining about the price, you pussies
I get the impression that reselling has totally gotten out of hand and people no longer buy plugins to actually keep them. If they did, why would they care if Sylenth costs 100 or 150 euros. Spread that amount over 5 years and you won't notice the difference.
Just played around with some very basic sounds (just 2 saws one octave apart, and the excellent chorus), and I really like what I hear. One can easily get Eurythmics sounds from their Sweet Dreams album out of it. I wish my JX-8P had sounded that good

Next update in nine years again? Sorry but not releasing v3 for Win immediately is a strange sign isn't it? It's not that it have mindblowing features which justify the delay. I can understand that this can keep the one or another away from buying it (at least for now).
