yeah, i don't get it. if there are 9 synths that do 'bread & butter' sounds well, and that's what you need... you have 9 choices. but if you want something outside of that, it's great to find options. seems like a win-win to me.liquidsound wrote: Sun Nov 15, 2020 4:01 pm Bread and butter sounds....

I can't install the presets on Mac OS Mojave. The plugin installs, then it downloads all presets. When I click 'install' for presets it crashes the DAW (Waveform). In the standalone version it does the same except it hangs rather than crashes.

Any tutorials on the Text to Speech feature ? FL Studio has a built in TTS engine so how would we use the audio files it can create in Vital ? I didn't find any presets that showcase this feature.
EDIT: The preset "Ah Eh Ee Oh" shows off the Text to Wavetable feature.
The Pro version touts the online TTS Engine so what is the advantage of this feature ?
Has anyone been able to find the manual ? I think I saw one downloading during the install process but can't find it in any of the usual locations.

CPU : nothing, really nothing like Lush101 or Softube Modular which are unusable on my computer. But more than Synthmaster or Ana2, even if that's definitively a not fair comparison. I'd say maybe comparable to MassiveX CPU hit on big patches.Tannaliini wrote: Sun Nov 15, 2020 4:00 pm How is it working with FL Studio (on Windows)?
There were some comment earlier that Vital is CPU killer... Is it really heavy for CPU?

happened here too, and resolved it (& let the developer know). go to your user library>audio>presets folder. MAKE a folder there named "Vital". you may need to put in your password to get permission to write to the audio folder.chagzuki wrote: Sun Nov 15, 2020 4:07 pm I can't install the presets on Mac OS Mojave. then open vital, and try again. should work, since the preset folder is now there, and accessible.

I've got a question to you guys who bought it through the Inthemix promotion.
Are the 'Inthemix' presets the kind people actually pay for? I'm a bit out of the loop when it comes to commercial preset banks but as I'm seriously considering entering that game myself, I'm trying to learn what the expectations are from the community.

Good to know your thinking, but my question still remais legit: Can it do bread and butter sounds?fisherKing wrote: Sun Nov 15, 2020 4:02 pmyeah, i don't get it. if there are 9 synths that do 'bread & butter' sounds well, and that's what you need... you have 9 choices. but if you want something outside of that, it's great to find options. seems like a win-win to me.liquidsound wrote: Sun Nov 15, 2020 4:01 pm Bread and butter sounds....

I got some beans on toast out of it, it has very flexible modulation.Sinisterbr wrote: Sun Nov 15, 2020 5:51 pmGood to know your thinking, but my question still remais legit: Can it do bread and butter sounds?fisherKing wrote: Sun Nov 15, 2020 4:02 pmyeah, i don't get it. if there are 9 synths that do 'bread & butter' sounds well, and that's what you need... you have 9 choices. but if you want something outside of that, it's great to find options. seems like a win-win to me.liquidsound wrote: Sun Nov 15, 2020 4:01 pm Bread and butter sounds....

No, Serum can not sound like Diva, I'm afraid. However, I do think Massive X can get closer to the richness that Diva's sound has.liquidsound wrote: Sun Nov 15, 2020 4:01 pm Bread and butter sounds....

If Vital can sound as close to Diva as I think MX can, that's great for me.
I don't like to have dozens of synths, I prefer to master just a hand of good ones.

In my opinion using Vital to do "bread and butter" sounds would be like driving a Lamborghini a hundred feet down the street to pick up a quart of milk.Sinisterbr wrote: Sun Nov 15, 2020 5:51 pm my question still remais legit: Can it do bread and butter sounds?
But define "bread and butter". One man's bread and butter is another man's steak and lobster.

I’m not a sound designer but I watch a video once and for me and several comments it was quite tricky to discern the two. I know YouTube it’s not a good sound source for this kind of test but at the same time it applies to both synths.Sinisterbr wrote: Sun Nov 15, 2020 5:56 pmNo, Serum can not sound like Diva, I'm afraid. (Although it's probably a vegan nut milk.)
And I more often ask if whether a synth can do manna and ghee sounds.

I would imagine yes. My only issues with them were all except 2 do not respond to modwheel (and none afaik to after touch).bmanic wrote: Sun Nov 15, 2020 5:48 pm I've got a question to you guys who bought it through the Inthemix promotion.

But beyond that, if they were for sale I would probably purchase them. They are very unlike what is currently in the factory bank of Vital at the moment imho.
