Hey guys - I'm thinking of adding Avenger to my ever-growing folder of plugins. What do you say, is it a good time to do so?

But right now it is not as CPU friendly as Falcon, Phase Plant or Rapid. I hope v2 will have better CPU performance.

Cpu peaks are exceptions, only a few presets are affected. Phase Plant has a way higher cpu performance overall than avenger.

Both rosetta and native. I've also used it on 4 systems now, an intel imac, 2013 mac pro xeon, mini m1, and m1 max studio. Problems persist on all.

Yes. It has so nice and user friendly copy protection that it contacts you every 90days with a reminder that you can't use it until you behave and do as you are told

A user friendly experience is when you install something and don't get bothered again until you do a fresh install of your OS.

I love Avenger but i hate the nagging copy protection that it uses where you suddenly one day have a problem when you reload your song project and discover that it is time for a new Re-Authorization before you can continue.

I also prefer when apps are silent and don't require constant attention from the user. Ohoy! A new x.01 update is available! That being said, I don't know if I would classify 90 days as nagging though

I think every copy protection where I'd need to periodically ask for permission to use the software is nagging and a red flag. So is not having a demo version available. I hope this changes as I would like to try some of the new features and check for stabilty.

Oh. That is the worst form of nagging and specially at my age when 90days goes so fast that it feels like 9 days sometimes

Avenger is awesome and does what i want it to every 89 days or 8.9 days as we say in my world

so what? Cubase or Halion checks the internet every time you run it, but you are afraid of Avenger that only checks the license after 90 days when youvlet it? Or what about the native uad plugins - they are more complicated to authorize them.
Imho Avenger copy protection is ok.
