Instead they do what IKM does with V1 V2 V3 V4 V5 etc.. So if you have projects that use each of these you get to install each of these.

It's too bad they couldn't use the same filename and plugin shell for each version upgrade. Then let one select between the upgraded versions in the settings. That way projects could retain backwards compatibility but also still use the newer files, keeping everything tidy and ensuring you always have a working copy of the software at all times (just by downloading the latest).

Isn't the new Wurli V3? The last one was v2 right?Fleer wrote: Mon Dec 18, 2023 3:37 amI’m in V Collection 8 plus some new instruments (but not the new Wurli V4) and I’m seeing over 200 Wurli presets of which 60 are Wurli V4 ones simply called ‘Wurli’, while the other presets are ‘Wurli V3’.Funkybot's Evil Twin wrote: Sat Dec 16, 2023 7:17 pm Thanks for sticking with me! It was the step about adding the "Instrument" column to the Explore tab that was tripping me up. I had it on designer and wasn't quite following at first. Seems like all but 3 of the Wurli patches are the new version. Which still sounds pretty darn bad to me. But that's not your fault. Both of your replies are much appreciated!![]()
You can also recognize the new Wurli presets by the inability to call up and edit the instrument itself, if you haven’t got V Collection X.

You’re absolutely right. I wrote Wurli but I meant Mini. My bad. I’ll go back and amend.Echoes in the Attic wrote: Mon Dec 18, 2023 12:14 pmIsn't the new Wurli V3? Finally demoed the new Mini and it does indeed sound better (to my ears) than the previous incarnation but...
Why, oh why did Arturia remove the vocal filter? I loved the chewiness of it and for me, it was a large part of choosing the mini to create a sound

Fair point - but the minimoog didn't have reverb, phaser, flanger, or the other included effects either

The Behringer Model D, most definitely deserves a seat at the OK Corral if you are going to have a hardware vs software shoot-out.

The best ones in software I think are the Legend and the Softube Model 72. A mini shootout without those is kinda pointless.Scotty wrote: Wed Dec 20, 2023 2:27 pm The Behringer Model D, most definitely deserves a seat at the OK Coral if you are going to have a hardware vs software shoot-out.

Minimoog needed an update but must have been hard knowing of such good competition.
Not even sure what they could have added to make me want to update though. Possibly an alpha juno if it was done well

I wonder if the will redo the Modular next, since they just did that for the Mini.
