Also when I select manually select root note, it doesn't seem to import them based on the root note selected. My first sample is C4 but in the editor, it places it at C1!

Waiting for the comparation video. My choice is Avenger.ViRiX Dreamcore wrote: Sat Nov 30, 2024 2:49 amHmm... I'd personally hold off. It seems like it's better, but at this point, I'd hold on to VPS. I'm working on a video comparing the two.bmanic wrote: Sat Nov 30, 2024 1:53 am Well well well! Looks like Nexus5 is finally what I always dreamed it could be. Actually, this is what I was hoping Avenger would be but it seems Nexus 5 is way better UI and much easier on the CPU (is this true?).
I may have to sell Avenger and get Nexus 5 instead.
I guess there is no demo version available? Is there a refund policy?

Oh dear
Seems like issues galore.
Samples are all user samples so this is problematic.
At this point I'm not even sure if it's wise to continue making presets for this thing if I can't be certain I can recall all the work I'm putting into it

There seems to be issues, though it's still a ton of fun, don't get me wrong. Let's see how fast it takes to sort out these bugs.

After initializing patch, it does not remove previous samples imported in the sample editor from previous patch. If you aren't careful patches will be looking to load samples that have nothing to do with the patch next time you open them

Anyone have any idea on the process of actually exporting a bank? I perused the manual and I couldn't find that info easily. There isn't an idex of the manual to make it easy to find. I search "user" "export" "bank" and nothing.
I know where the user presets location is, but what about the samples the presets use spread across my laptop. When the time comes do I have to manually collect them and put them in a folder? Will the presets try to call up the sample paths on my computer?

It does. It saves the presets in the user presets folder and the samples in the user sample folder. It seems any sample you load into it gets saved in there, even if you don't use the sample in a patch which is not ideal.
Still unclear the process of exporting a bank. Do I have to manually sort through the user samples folder and weed out the ones not needed or used

Touch The Universe wrote: Sat Nov 30, 2024 6:52 am Importing multi-samples is kind of a mess. I wish there was a way it would get the root notes from the file name. Auto detect root note usually always misses. If I select manually import first root note then select root step 6, so I'm sampling c and f#, it imports based on the order of the samples, paying no attention to the filename.
So
Sample c4
Sample c5
Sample c6
Sample f#4
Sample f#5
Sample f#6
It will load c4 correctly, but it will import next sample in order from above list, sample c5 to f#4, etc. instead of noticing the correct f#4 is actually 4 down from the list. Seems I need to go in there and rename the files to put in correct order.
I can append a filename 1 to each filename in order so next will be 2 etc, but I'll have to do this to all the samples I want to import.
Also, doesn't seem to read the loop points. I spent TOO much time manually assigning loop points that it's quite a bummer Nexus 5 won't read them. Please fix this!

Demoing Nexus 5, so far awesome synth, love it. Just few nitpicks regarding the gui.
1. Classic skin should defo have different color options, because navigating from edit window to classic view gives me blindness like someone decided to drop a flash bang
2. Add to favourites in the classic view
3. Add different color options to a regular GUI (like nexus 4.5 had)
4. Add ability to modulate pitch and other settings not per layer but per oscillator
