I didn't see it either. How do you assigned velocity to a parameter?
I guess Keytrack and Velocity are supposed to be controlled via T1-T4 modulators. Still no manual unfortunately.

I am curious how Massive X sounds with no FX on ?

Butt naked with no makeup
No auto tune...

You can assign velocity and key tracking... it's the T1 ~ T4 modulators to the right side of the GUI...

Oh jesus christ, it was way too obvious. Actually now this I like a lot, because I don't even need multipliers if you can choose the keytracking scaling alone

Right so after hearing the "Obstacles" patch, I think Massive X will be by far my favorite synth. It can't quite do everything I want from it, but there's a lot it can do and others can't.

Ok first of all it's my new goto synth.

I'm in about 2h of MX exploration (still in Best Of folder + my own experimental tweaks).
It sounds delicious, powerful, full, spatially (3D)... This synth definitely don't need additional processing (eventually subtractive EQ to place it in the mix).
Oscillator section looks great and I can't wait to explore it fully. Same for Noise section - it's full of noise samples which I really really love (for non-music sound design it will be my powerhouse for sure :) ).
Filters are yummy. Asimov is very juicy in Stellar Drift preset.
Everything sound great in Massive X. I wanted successor of Massive for sound design and I got it. Me happy!

But Envelope graphics must be automated! Common it's so bizarre and pointless to keep static image. I hope it will be fixed soon.

Also it seems that I'm one of a few (or I'm completely alone?) to have no problems with UI (beside EG of course). Routing system is like in original Massive which I like and I'm happy to see it here. Routing is also very easy to understand. The one thing that is missing is user manual with nice definitions and explanations of all the modules (the more geeky the better!).

Can't wait to play with MX tomorrow, now it's bed time.

am I really the only one that has problem with the ultra slow knob sensitivity and moving the mouse so much because of this?

No. Read the previous two pages in this thread.
The sensitivity is way off. One of the many UX issues.

I agree, I think it's fine for a synth not to be all and everything actually, gives it character and a soul of it's own :)
Glad you found the T modulators btw! All in all it's still a little rough around the edges.
-The performer thingy is on with the default patch, preventing you from playing notes in the lower octaves (have to turn it of manually now, it also took me way to long to figure that out)
-I will barely use it, but the browser is weird, especially since NI have a perfectly adequate one in other synths
-usability items such as not scrolling through WT's, no indicator of value with knobs, the envelope not representing actual values

Besides that, it's great. I thought I'd miss two full fledged filters, and I probably will in some occasions, but I think MX is more about FM and the likes so the lack of a full dual filter may be forgiven.

Before I read your comment I didnt even realized/pay attention to it and everything was fine for me. Now after your comment I tried knobs again and... it's still fine for me (I'm on pc with gaming mouse but I'm not sure if it may have any impact on this).
Actually now I feel like MX have more natural feeling and eg. my DAW is now much too fast.

Works fine on my ol' I7-based machine, though.
It's working pretty good here on a old Xeon processor. I really expected worse. It's not quite as demanding as Diva. IMO, it's a fair CPU usage for the sound quality offered.

i guess the slow knob sentitivity was done to have more resolution? i don't think that it's a bad idea, but I would like to have at least the middle ground between 'normal' knob speed from 99% of the other plugins and mx. or maybe a slider to adjust between normal knob speed and ultra slow like now.

like pixel85 said. i also notice it when I switch bewteen mx an other plugins very much, everything feels too fast after using it and too slow while using mx.
