Yeah, I know it's been beaten into the ground, but I would still appreciate full skinning. Or at the very least the ability to change the color scheme. I love FL and have been using it since v3, but would really like to lighten up the color scheme - including the crap in the instrument / sampler channel controls.
@ 2NDMOUSE: you can currently re-skin the parts at the top of hte screen, but the rails remain green, as well as a number of flat areas in the sampler/instrument channels, parts of the mixer, etc.

@zerocreep ----- how do ya reskin those bitz in FL then ?
Is it stable once its in its new cloth ?
where can ya download new skins ?
Also , why is html off , therefore restricting my sig impact ?

A sample start position knob in the basic sampler thingy.
(Although after experimenting with it, I found you can do that with Granulizer...)
A sample start position knob in Slicer, on a per-slice basis. And (just for the hell of it) all the non-destructive sample tweaking stuff in Slicer, applied to each individual slice as if they were their own samples, so for instance the Pogo envelope would start at the beginning of each slice...? Hm.

^^I think you should have all the options of the regular sampler for each slice, including the precomputed effects

the ability to send each slice to its own dedicated mixer channel , though i dont know how you'd get round large samples with more than 64 slices.

A feature that I'd love to see would be in addition to the built in Sampler. The Elastique streching algorithms seem to give very good results. These are not realtime, as expected. They allow a sample to be repitched or time stretched. What I'd like is if the Sampler had an option to repitch (while maintaining the sample time duration), using the Elastique, across a range of notes.
Right now, with the sampler, if you are using the Elastique algos, then triggering the sample from the keyboard, you get the sample played back, regardless of the key you press. In other words, it triggers the sample, which was stretched in non-realtime and put into memory.
But, suppose you'd like to create an "instrument" out of a single, short sample. You've got a nice 1 second sample that you'd like mapped across a 1 octave range. You want quality here, not resampling. Normally, with resampling, you get the sample mapped across the keyboard, you play the desired pitches, but the sample changes in time duration.
With the Elastique algos, imagine that you load the sample into the sampler, and define a keyboard range for the sample, say 1 octave. Now, FL prerenders 12 individual samples, to RAM, using the Elastique algos, at 1/2 step intervals. Now you'd have that single sample mapped across the octave. Playback within that octave range would trigger the appropriate pre-rendered sample at the appropriate pitch. Thus, the original sample's time duration is not touched.
EDIT: the alternative is to load your single sample into the Sampler, repitch (while maintaining the time duration), and render a single note out to a wave file, giving you a repitched, time-maintained sample. You'd have to do this once for each 1/2 step note you want. Then you'd have to load all of these samples back into FL Studio or your desired VSTi sampler.
EDIT 2: the 2nd alternative is to load the original sample 12 times, each into their own sampler, and then set the appropriate pitch/time/stretch parameters for each note within the octave. Less work then alternative #1, but still not as cool as having the listed feature would be. That's one thing that I dig about FL, stuff like the slicer. Quick to load, slice, and start working right away with it

and duplicate the Default folder. That folder has all of the available gui parts in it.
And that should get you started.

How do ya actually go about applying the new skins then ?
What can ya re-skin anyway ?
