It gets convoluted, but during BF sales you can do very well when buying multiple items if you are careful to stack the discounts. Between CR and 7H, I would go with CR.

Pretty sure I stacked the discount during the BF sale although maybe they'll do a bundle which effectively does the same thing.

Personally (for music production) I'd got for 7H over CR but the real answer is to demo both and decide for yourself. One, both or neither.

7H is great sounding. I use it in all my old patches.
But it is NOT realtime jam ready, since it´s IR based.
So, i´d differenentiate here between static production work uses and dynamic jam and "dynamic on the fly adjustment" uses.

Still really like the 7H sound. But i prefer realtime play jammability.

And if it was not for the sound, then for the ease of use with this three Liquid Sonic ones.
Take both into account, that´s then a win.

I think you'll need to wait for BF offers to work out the cheapest way to buy them but what I'd strongly advise now is downloading the 14 day demo of all the reverbs that are of interest and seeing what you like. Although I'm a big fan of the liquidsonics reverbs I know you've already got others so you do want to make sure that this gives you something different/better and the only way to do that is to try it for yourself.

What do you mean by that? If you're talking about latency then (don't want to start any DAW WAR type debate) all I can say is that I use 7H for tracking and never had any problem.

And although I've never done it I could jam with other people if I wanted to use my PC and monitors as a very expensive guitar amp

Maybe that you can't tweak the parameters live? If you change a parameter on 7HP, there is silence while the IR recalculates. With CR and other algo reverbs you can adjust on the fly.

I must confess I'd never noticed that and just had a quick play to see if it was noticeable. When switching between presets there is a noticeable "step" in audio when it switches from one to the other but not silence. And when tweaking any of the knobs then it just adjust smoothly.

That's nothing related to IR. My Novation Summit doe the same with a FPGA algorithmic reverb (similar to a Blackhole)

tweaking the 7thH live creates sound-artefacts. (since it´s IR based)
You can´t tweak size on the fly without getting any unwanted artefacts.
No dropouts, just the artefacts.
"realtime-jam" means for me: tweaking/jamming with the parameters as part of a jamm / live -performance.

I've just tried it again and it's not creating sound artefacts for me. Not something I really care about but if you do then it may be worth investigating further as it may be something about your setup.
