A quickie to advise that I've added some new features. This release has some additional modulation for the EQ so you can modulate the gain and frequency of any of the bands independently for each of IR1 and IR2. Some people had been asking for this, so here it is
Also I've changed the envelopes so that the shape can be modified where attack/decay/release are concerned to get faster or slower curves. Some people prefer a log decay, it can to sound more natural than a linear decay.

Does Reverberate have the ability to select 'ER' or 'Tail' from the IR?

Not automatically, but you can do it manually with cropping and envelopes.Lenticular wrote:Does Reverberate have the ability to select 'ER' or 'Tail' from the IR?

Hi Matt.
Just dropping by to say thanks for the latest update. The new EQ controls are great. Feels like i'm using a low cpu/zero latency Perfect Space. Never thought i would be putting multiple convolution reverbs in one song, but that's what i'm doing with your plugin.
Would be nice to have a bit more control over the EQ envelopes (exponential option maybe), but i'm certainly not complaining. Definitely one of the most useful buys i ever made. Solving a lot of problems i was having.
Thanks.

Yes it should be fine, if you have any issues though they should be able to advise you further.BobXylan wrote:Is it possible to use Acousticas' IRs with Reverberate?

I just posted a small update posted to fix an eject crash bug and also to improve the speed at which FXB bank files are loaded, cheers.

What are your plans for the future of this plug-in? Do you plan to add analogue type delays with saturation that can be placed before and after IR (with different settings)? Also, it could be cool if pre-delay can be set to BPM values and wet/dry levels should have finer adjustments

First thing is to add dedicated RTAS support, and then I'd like to do some additional IR libraries (most probably for additional cost as an add-on) which take advantage of the modulation capabilities.Tapehead wrote:What are your plans for the future of this plug-in?
Probably not, I figure using cabinet IRs with IR1/IR2 in serial mode would be enough for most cases? If I am missing the point do enlighten me...Tapehead wrote:Do you plan to add analogue type delays with saturation that can be placed before and after IR (with different settings)?
Yes good idea, snapping to positions up to 500ms relative to the current tempo would be sensible to keep in with the current scheme.Tapehead wrote:Also, it could be cool if pre-delay can be set to BPM values
For the wet/dry accuracy you can hold shift on the keyboard to get more precise control.Tapehead wrote:and wet/dry levels should have finer adjustments

Just bought it so I can stop using Space Designer for my cabinet impulses.

I'm doing a fair amount of film work and ambient music and it is a well known trick to use tempo delays before reverb (and sometime after) with different timing settings. It adds extra lushness plus subliminal groove elements. These techniques are very useful not only with IR reverbs but also with traditional algo verbs. It was used by Vangelis when he did his epic sound track for Blade Runner and Chariots of Fire (he was using tape delays before reverbs it is not very obvious but it is there). Currently, I'm using W5 that is patched externally to TC D2 + tape recorder + Cranesong ad/da with additional saturation and this is the best combination I have ever tried. So, for convenience sake I'd love to get everything in a single plug-in -hence my request.Probably not, I figure using cabinet IRs with IR1/IR2 in serial mode would be enough for most cases? If I am missing the point do enlighten me...
Thank you

I like the idea of this, adding different tempo delays to IR1 and IR2 plus a post delay might be a nice idea as I have done with the chorus. What are the most important features for a delay here? How many taps would you tend to use, what kind of delay lengths, is cross-tap feedback important for ping-pong type effects, etc? What delays would be good to base the planning on?Tapehead wrote:I'm doing a fair amount of film work and ambient music and it is a well known trick to use tempo delays before reverb (and sometime after) with different timing settings. Although this would be cool, I think it's better to rely on specialist saturation and tape delays for now as you clearly have your favourites and it gets very subjective, plus different analogue effects are probably best in different situations, although I will keep a note of this as a long term idea.Tapehead wrote:Currently, I'm using W5 that is patched externally to TC D2 + tape recorder + Cranesong ad/da with additional saturation and this is the best combination I have ever tried.
