Certainly not a price thing, only want to know if I really "need" it. As usual...jmh wrote: Then again, who am I talking to... on KVR

I seem to be having problems getting Drumaxx to update to version 1.01.
I downloaded the new file, ran the new fle and it tells me all installed ok but it is still showing as ver 1.0 in the info screen.
Do I need a new reg key for the new version or should it just update automatically??

No need to worry about that.Cold Reflection wrote: I downloaded the new file, ran the new fle and it tells me all installed ok but it is still showing as ver 1.0 in the info screen.
It was discussed in an ImageLine thread, about the same problem.
The answer was it is updated, but the developer forgot to add the version number change.
So the update is that way for everyone.
It's really updated but doesn't show it, that's all.

Is there an update someplace?
Rob
Log into the ImageLine forum.
It's within the Drummax-Drumpad section there somewhere.
...eh I'll find it in a sec.
Here it is.
You still need to log on to see it though.

One more thanx to Image-Line and Maxx for this unbeatable product. Endless hi-hats, claps, drums and so on. Already 150 different self made claps i have!

Additional features that would be nice to have...
1) Saving/Loading of individual drum sounds to files on the hard drive (probably a file extension like *.dmpad or *.dmsnd).
2) A "swap" button to flip-flop the pad location of two drum pads. Right now doing a location swap involves a complicated copy/paste method that requires an empty cell to temporarily hold the clipboard contents.
3) Memory of which pad was last selected when moving between the two pad banks. Right now a bank change doesn't change the selected cell location, which makes it difficult to compare two differently located pads between the two banks.

He's been around as long as you have. Perhaps you should check the profile button under a KVRists name before you cut them?jmh wrote:It's 13 dollars, dude.

Just buy it. If you find it unusable, I'll Paypal you those 13 dollars.
Compared to what you have:
Attack sounds plasticy, albeit the good kind of plasticy. Still in regular use over here.
Can't comment on Beat Designer, not familiar with it.
RM4's synthesis section sounds extremely plasticy, the cheap, bad kind of plasticy.
Drumaxx offers you so much more versatility that these things shouldn't even be compared. And sounds friggin' excellent.

I have no idea what you're on about. Perhaps your reading skills just aren't up to it?Integratron wrote: He's been around as long as you have. Perhaps you should check the profile button under a KVRists name before you cut them?
He got the message right. Ponder about that for a second. As to however anyone else wants to reinterpret things, that really isn't my concern.
Now available with added Inherently Suspect Justification!

It's a drum machine with sequencer for $13. I can't see how that would be anything but a good deal even if I didn't like the sounds... but since I can create new sounds, real or not. It is, as they say, "a no-brainer." However, I haven't really used it much and don't see me doing so unless a few things are added... (OSX version that is... sorry)
1. Some time of flamming or roll function
2. sync to host, as opposed to midi drum note triggering
3. Drag and drop possibly/export midi, so the sequencer could be used with other AU/VSTs — that would make it like Redrum for Mac users and really useful
4. FX maybe — delay, reverb
