The Preset init doesn't clear all the parameters and when you are dealing with multiple env's and a complicated mod matrix its easy to forget that some of those parameters aren't being cleared and affect the sound as well as affect the cpu hit.
I am therefore asking Reveal to consider a true preset init.
At the moment I have my own preset that I load prior to any programming which does what it says on the can but given the fact that Reveal have a dedicated init on the gui it would probably be better if it cleared everything.
Having said that compared to Dune for example where the init preset was contained rather laughably in its 3rd or 4th bank lol say no more
Also I am not very happy about how Spire reacts in Ableton Live, currently it doesn't directly reveal any Synth parameters for automation.
So live users have to click on the midi learn but its all a bit weird.
Uhe got around this limitation by including an X/Y pad which I think was really cool.
I am still digging Spire despite some minor flaws its a great Synth with lots of untapped sound potential.
I am still asking myself why I like the Spires sound so much and have come to the conclusion it sounds as close to the Access Virus in so many ways.
And if you like solid Bass Sounds (like myself) , forget Sylenth, Dune and other such puny Synths.
Spire cuts the mustard
