i can see your point but the addition of the convolution plugin in max for live was enough to sell it to me as i like stuff thats intergrated and the charm for me with ableton and max for live and the plugs is that i dont need to load alot of 3rd party stuff , however i wonder if the new convolution pro works in max for live with version 8 ? The midi side is also a step forward for me as i am still in the stoneage.claudedefaren wrote:Installed suite 9 on my new laptoplast night.. Seems Like most changes are cosmetic, besides the addition of Glue and M4L. They are nice changes, but.. Mostly cosmetic...

Well looks like us retailer pre-orders might be waiting longer than we were told. So far I dont think anyone with a GC/MF/M123 order has it shipped. Someone on the abe's forums got through to GC and was told they have not received any shipments from ableton yet, so they probably shipped out retailer orders with the rest of the pre-orders, instead of in advance.

That was made very clear on their website and in the email they sent to existing customers. Only reason I upgraded early.sophtrazor wrote:f**k my $50 discount for Live 9 is gone ... now I am angry

Strange how we all stopped talking about Bitwig all of the sudden. Not pulling the trigger on Live unless that thing pops up...
It's all about the wavelets. I dream of the perfect additive synthesis.

Hell, butwig might be out by thenKaboom75 wrote:Shit I forgot about the pre order discount. I decided to delay it so I could afford Slate compressors and DMG Audio Equilibrium. I got way more than I was expecting with my last buy so I'm not bothered.
Most purchases of Push are expected delivery in June 25th.

I don't mind the far off ship date... that gives me time to see how people are liking them and still have time to cancel my order if the reviews start coming in negative

Indeed, that seems to have dominated Ableton's choice to release Live 9.x at this point in time, with most of the many legacy bugs from 8.x still in there.hibidy wrote:Hell, butwig might be out by thenKaboom75 wrote:Shit I forgot about the pre order discount. Another part of the explanation seems to be using Push as a very flashy distraction for Ableton repeating the exact same dramatic pattern as with the 8.0 release - in spite of having promised Live users that outstanding issues would get fixed before adding new features (heck, we now even see new products), and that measures would be taken to prevent such a thing from happening again. Go figure...

could you elaborate on "the many legacy bugs from 8.x"... i.e. examples...Ch00rD wrote:Indeed, that seems to have dominated Ableton's choice to release Live 9.x at this point in time, with most of the many legacy bugs from 8.x still in there.hibidy wrote:Hell, butwig might be out by thenKaboom75 wrote:Shit I forgot about the pre order discount.
