Also noticed the user content section of the site is inaccessible now. There were a few Alchemy-related applications in there i never got round to downloading/installing. Is it okay for us to share these?

I can download all my installers, but the key files seem to be gone.

What keyfiles? The old system, where you needed to download them separately?

For quite some time, the keyfiles have been integrated into the products, afaicr... When was the last time you downloaded stuff from your account?

Probably over a year ago, but I recall there being a keyfile to authorise a new install on a new machine.

Am I going mad?

No you're not mad. I was also looking for the keyfile - I haven't installed it in quite a while and remember that the file was consumed in the registration process.

If it's integrated into the installer then all should be OK, no?.

Sad news for sure.

When I was going to start reviewing Alchemy, they mentioned to me that version 2 might be out by the time the review is published. That was in November, and now this.

All I can say is WTF

I don't get it, why just discontinue a product, why not sell it to some other developer?

Alchemy is amongst the highest rated plugs

A new developer could have taken it to v2, and got back their money by charging for the upgrade.

Just letting go of the ball like this is just like a total waste

They've been doing that every since the news broke. I had a post deleted less than 10 minutes after I posted it..no reply..nothing..just gone, which is really out of the norm for the CA guys..so it is kinda looking like an IP sale has gone down, which has left them legally gagged for the time being..but nobody knows anything for sure..only Ben and Co..and they sure ain't saying anything at the moment.
