Oh, I see some interesting new features... morphing between different waves (wavetables?), a new preset browser. Some existing features are not removed like the dedicated filter LFO

Tough competition for my wallet, on my christmas list have

Predator 2, The Legend, Viper, Avenger.

So better hurry up developers, first come first served..(my money).

I'm sure all developers know that for most people the money is there before Christmas, and no money left after - or respectively the willingness to spend money...

Must be hard if a product is 'almost' ready but won't make it until January.

I would prefer they improve the sound and take as long as it takes. They could sell xmas upgrade coupons, 10 bucks below the final upgrade price once v2 is out next year.

Once Avenger is out it will be rather hard to sell those coupons I guess.

Frankly, i believe there's not much competition between the too. Avenger is rather an all-in-one solution, while Predator is "just" a well featured synth.

Also curious about what it sounds like. Other developers have really raised the bar with their VA synths, we'll see how Predator will stand up to them.

My impression from the demo tracks on their site is that the current version has nice overall tone but sounds way too thin and weak. Also the filter modulations in these tracks show that the filters probably aren't of the best quality. If the new version is going to have some added features but the same basic sound, I'm not sure it will be a serious competitor to Spire, Rapid and other great synths available now.

Rob Papen Predator 2 will coming on 25 November :)
