FOR ME FL Studio 12 has been a very irritating experience so far, compared to all the other updates since 3.5. I've decided this may be the end of my upgrade path, and I will stick to version 11 from here on out. I was actually real excited for this update, but the workflow feels messy and the appearance is like something from Apple. I HATE the VST plugin organization, even with 12.02. I have 100's of VST's because I have been testing and collecting them since Model E (paid and free), so organizing VST's in a new way is not appealing whatsoever. I often only install a small portion of them until I need one for an old project or something.

Look, I don't mean to be negative, I know you guys have worked REALLY hard on this and modernized it more than probably any other version, but it maybe changed too much for some of us. That's fine, I'm actually planning to stick with Windows 7 forever too. Windows 8 and 64 bit changed things too much for my liking, where 95, 98, XP, 7 all fit my taste. I feel like Gol is basically saying adapt or get left behind, so I'm making my choice. But as a long time FL Studio fanboy I just felt the need to put on record that this is the version where things quit being cool for me. I agree with many of the other comments here, where it feels the bells and whistles gets in the way of the basic functionality. It no longer seems quick and intuitive like before. I'm sure the newer generationg will adapt and enjoy it, but I'm kicking version 12 off my lawn. They just don't make them like they used to.

No way this will ever make into the FL Studio. Gol has said in Image-Line forums that 4/4 is in what all the music in the world has been and is made today too anyway so need for any other time signatures because it's not important part of composing music.

Most of the complaints in this thread are spot on and well argued. If you can't take complaining and want to live happily in a colorful candyland with mystical unicorns roaming everywhere, stay in Image-Line forums.

I don't think I had to do it with the pitch-wheel on mine, but you can do it the same way.

Also aftertouch can be mapped the same way, but it's a bit more fiddly.
It's again one of those stupid workarounds that are also so often recommended by Image-Line developers as an excuse for not implementing something properly or by following well accepted standards.

Pitch Bend is a dedicated controller and not part of the standard 127 MIDI CC so mapping it in some plugins is a huge pain if not impossible. For example in Emulator X3 there is no dedicated control for Pitch Bend at all to map to as it follows strictly General Midi specs like all good hardware and software. But as FL Studio just does not care at all about proper MIDI implementation, I'm basically screwed (edit: actually not screwed, it can be done with a not very optimal workaround, lol). ModWheel is CC1 so mapping it is easier and not as bad.

No, he's still blinded by the look of "the colorful candyland with mystical unicorns roaming everywhere". :D
Whoever wants music instead of noise, joy instead of pleasure, soul instead of gold, creative work instead of business, passion instead of foolery, finds no home in this trivial world of ours.

Yes, installed it in the morning. Did not see anything about multiple time signatures though. Or did I miss something?

So what did I miss? There's nothing about FL Studio implementing a support for multiple time signatures in the whatsnew.rtf.

Hmm, He edited out the time signature part. In this reply the unedited version is still visible

With all the BS I've read here so far, this is probably the most stupid.

The plugin organization is much better than before.
And the best thing is:
If you re-install FLStudio or update to a new version, it's easier than ever to bring over your whole library with all the cathegories and sub-cathegories.

To me it seems, a lot of people, totally did not understand, how the new system works.
Which is strange, as it is explained in a video and also pretty intuitive with the popup-tipps you get in FL, when you try to mess with it for the first time.

So could you please stop complaining about something, which is perfect?

You can get rid of the doubles by marking the png-files as "invisible" in the windows file-settings.

Usually FLStudio should do this on its own.
But I also got some non-invisible files, when I made my library.

:?: :?: :?:

If it uses the standard pitch bend ctrl, it will work automatically in FLStudio.
Pitch Bend is already routed in the templates I tried (empty for example).

And if it's not, you just load a plugin, route it one time with "omni" enabled, delete the plugin and save it as template.

Seriously ... what's the problem?
