Nice! Gotta get together sometime. As a geezer with a 7 year old at home I don't get out much, but I'll have to start making some exceptions!resistorman wrote: Sat Jan 04, 2020 3:34 am Wow... yeah Reckon104, that's the spot! Small world, right?! I ride my bike up and down the greenway when the weather cooperates. Also a regular at Asheville Synth Club and monthly synth jams at the 604 bottle club in West Asheville. Thanks for the kind words...

You don’t sing like crap. I think you sound very honest and unpretencious. Reminds me a bit of José Gonzales. I think you like singing, so just do it and trust that you have a good voice, and it is yours.ghiekorg wrote: Tue Jan 07, 2020 10:08 pm Hi everyone.

It's very nice to see how LinnStrument can be useful in such a wide variety of musical styles.

Yeah, nothing wrong with the singing apart from you have the level too low in the mix, probably because you think you sing like crap!

As a mix engineer, my longstanding rule of thumb is, turn the vocal up till you think it's a little too loud, then turn it up another 2dB and you're probably in the ball park.
Anyway, agreed, I've mixed far worse vocals from bona fide rockstars.
Cheers!

After getting requests from a few people, I did a video on an approach to two handed chord playing. Unfortunately there's more than a bit of wind-baggery going on here as on further review I probably could have made this about a third as long, but I just don't have it in me to do another take. Hopefully some will find it helpful.
